Do you have to pay park fees when visiting Devil‘s Pool?
If so, can you visit the park afterward or do you have to pay multiple times?
The Livingstone Island fees include Park Fees, but it is not quite the same fee so guests still need to pay entrance to the Falls in order to roam on the Zambian side.
I hope this helps.
You have to pay the entrance fee to Livingstone island. The devils pool entry is included with a guide and a meal.
We had to pay a fee to get into Victoria Falls, then an additional fee to go to the Devil's Pool. You are guided to the pool by two people (even though there are more). First you have to navigate across the river before getting to the pool. I thought it was worth every penny. They highly recommend water shoes or sandals as the rocks are slippery and sometimes uneven. The Devil's Pool had just opened the day before we went (August 30). Up until then the water level is too high to go to Devil's Pool.
I’m pretty sure you have to, it’s included in the price from the tour company. I don’t think you’ll be able to go to the park on the Zimbabwean side, but definitely on the Zambian side.
Yes you pay to enter the park but only the one payment then you are free to roam. Take or buy waterproofs you will need them although you still get soaked but it’s great fun.
Actually, if you start from the Zambia side, you do not have to pay park fees. It depends where you hire your guide. We did the Zambia side and Devil's pool in the morning, and we paid our local guide (but no park fees). Then we went back and did the Zimbabwe side, where they do charge park fees.
