Hi, Julie, for a matatu from the CBD use the Khonja stage along Tom Mboya street or at Odeon. Numbas 106, 107 or 108. Alight at Belgium Embassy on Limuru Road. Karibu!

Hi Julie, You can get there by public transport there is a bus stop just opposite the Karura forest gate on limuru road, alternatively you could take an uber or taxify (the local version of Uber),

you could rent a bike and a helmet at the forest inside next to the main parking area at 500 Kenya Shillings (about 5 dollars),inside the forest its quite secure.

if you would like to have a map they are available at the entrance for about 200 Kenya shillings (2 dollars).

Hi Julie - I am not sure about public transport to the forest (I wouldn’t recommend it even if there was, take a taxi instead) but there certainly is a bike hire place where you can rent a bike, its right adjacent to the main car park so, you cant miss it.

Yes you can get there via public transport and you can hire bikes there for about Kes 500 for 2 hours
