Historic Walled Town of Cuenca Questions & Answers

Nuangola, Pennsylvania

Hello, could anyone tell me if there is any nightlife on a Monday or Tuesday night? Not looking for a crazy club scene but my friend and I (mid thirties) still like a fun night out. Thanks!

There are nightclubs in Cuenca but they only tend to open at weekends. The Spanish eat very late, often around 10pm, so the clubs don't actually open until around 2.00am!

There are a huge number of traditional bars in Cuenca, and the free tapas can be very good. Try the street of 'San Fran' in the new town, just off the Main Street. This is a street of bars! These, and many local bars, will be open on a Monday and Tuesday. During the week the bars in the new town will probably be a bit more lively than in the old town. Despite the 'crisis' many local people use the bars -,the Spanish are very sociable people! Cuenca is small and quiet, but also extremely unique. Unfortunately Monday is the day that local attraction such as the Science Museum and gallery of Modern Art tend to be closed

Hi. In the Old Town, there is no night life in the old part of Town. But just outside the Walled gate in the old town are a large number of restaurants, which are very popular each night and you can catch the bus from the new Town up to the bus terminus which is opposite the restaurants. Very nice area on a warn night.

There are plenty of bars around Plaza Mayor which are probably buzzing in the summer months but our last visit was in March (out of Season) so they were quiet, even so, we enjoyed a few glasses of wine and good conversation with other customers.
