Is the Pantheon wheel chair friendly and do they offer wheel chairs at the entrance?
It is accessible from what I saw (ramp), but the area around it is cobblestoned and it's probably miserable to navigate. Much of Rome is rough cobblestones.
According to "Trip Advisor", the Pantheon is totally wheelchair-accessible.
If you go to the Pantheon's own website, there's a "Contact" section : you could send them a message enquiring whether wheelchairs are available at the entrance.
I hope this all works-out for you, as this is an absolutely superb Temple/Church, well worth visiting and enjoying!
By memory, yes, a wheelchair can get around easily at the Pantheon. The cobblestone streets and open market area in front of the Pantheon will be rough on a wheelchair. I did not see any service providing wheelchairs.
I believe that the Pantheon is wheel chair friendly. I feel certain they do not provide chairs there, though. The piazza outside the Pantheon is uneven cobblestones and can be difficult to navigate for the unsteady. It is an amazing building. Do not miss it.
I didn’t see wheelchairs there/available. There are a few shallow steps up to go, can be long line/wait to get in, depending on time of year/day.
The Pantheon is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, structures in Rome so I would venture to say it is not as accessible as some structures. There is only natural light as they have kept it as untouched as possible, so I don't think there is a ramp nor any wheel chairs for use. I did see a few people in wheelchairs but cannot attest to their mobility. So I cannot say how they got in, also this is located in a piazza which is all cobblestones..as is much of Rome.
I'm here at the moment and as with most places in Rome, if they see you in a wheelchair they'll do their best to get you in. There is a ramp. Just catch the eye of one if the attendants and they'll help you.
It’s is cobblestones but more on smooth side . If you have wheelchair or walker it should be ok to get to
