Traveling here by public transport from York. Not sure what is best to use, which stop, etc. Suggestions sincerely appreciated!
there is a bus to the village and a short walk to the entrance of the grounds it would be easier to get a taxi as others have said if you are bothered about a walk.
Sorry I am not sure how close any bus will get to the gardens as I am not from that area and we go by car. A taxi may be an idea but you definitely need to book a return. Perhaps you can plan your bus route on line. Hope this helps.
Take the train to Doncaster and ask at the bus station next door. But to be honest it’s not easy to get to by public transport. A cab will work but you would need to book a return.
