There's beautiful quote inside the visitor center describing Death Valley. I was in awe when visiting DV, but intimidated by the sheer brutality of the force of nature. I forgot to take a picture of this, can anyone share the original quote if happen to see it? Thanks!
Or was it..
"There is no shortage of water in the desert but exactly the right amount, a perfect ratio of water to rock, water to sand. There is no lack of water here unless you try to establish a city where no city should be "
"How can rocks and sand and silence make us afraid and yet be so wonderful ?"
Edna Brush Perkins.

I'm sorry but I cannot provide your requested quote. I would recommend calling the Visitor Center, but I have not found a way to talk to a live person using their phone number. I would suggest contacting the Death Valley Natural History Association. They run the gift shop and may be able to answer your question. A small donation to their organization, should they be able to assist you, would be much appreciated. I cannot leave a link here but you can do a search online and find their website. Good luck!
