If you have a lot of luggage, I highly recommend that you should take a taxi. The taxi price in Japan is reasonable and it's very easy to catch one everywhere in Kyoto. If you take a taxi in front of Kyoto station, the fare is around 500 Yen.

You don't need a taxi is 10min walk (unless raining) and if you want a taxi there is plenty at the station. You have to check the right side of the station to get out (there are several exits). From there is it the main street in front of the escalators down (almost)

You certainly can catch a taxi. But Sakura terrace is less than one kilometre from Kyoto central train station. You can catch a metro train One stop and the exit is right outside Sakura Terrace Hotel.or you can walk. No hills. I don't know what the taxi fare is. We walked . Takes 5 minutes on foot. Enjoy

You don't have to call a taxi because there are some taxis in front of Kyoto station.

To go to Sakura hotel from Kyoto station, I'm sure it'll cost the basic fare which means, the extra charge won't be added. Minimum fare will be around 620yen.

Also, you can go there by walk, it takes around 10 mins to get there. (recommended)

Hello Pang,

As Kathry mention, it so close to Kyoto Station. We walk with our big suitcase from Kyoto Station to hotel and it is easy walk! We never took Taxi , I heard its very expensive! Try to get any train station. Trains are fast and for sure cheaper than Taxi.

I hope this helps!

Have fun

Hi

It's a short walk from Kyoto's main station (1km, 10 minutes) and ok if you have luggage with wheels. Just make sure you take the southern most exit from the station and I remember this not being particular clear. Alternatively, you can get the underground which stops right outside the Sakura Terrace. Sorry, but I don't know how much a taxi costs as we always walked.

Have a great time!
