Hi, we will be visiting in January with our then almost two-year-old son. Do I have to go on a tour? Don't know if a two year old will/can/wants to stick to a schedule lol. Can we move around freely, maybe after the tour? Cheers :)
Hi. Unfortunately the only way to move through the forest is on a guided tour. The reason is the monkeys can be naughty and with the guides presence they know they may not make trouble. Also there is quite a big hang bridge which is exciting but the guide needs to be present. We had a two year old boy on our tour and he was so amazed by all the monkeys that he was in his element, so I don't think you'll have any trouble. You can also move freely on your own around the restaurant area and there are monkeys around that area too. I hope you guys enjoy it! We have been 3 times already!
You can't move around freely but you can hang back then catch up. Your 2 year old will love it.
The guided tour is less than an hour long. You move around in a group but at a medium pace & stop almost every 5 minutes. Its a forest Environment & the kids will love it.
Because you are in the sanctuary with the monkeys, you have to take a tour. There is no roaming around freely. There were a lot of young kids and babies on our tour - they all did great because there were monkeys right next to them!
We went with a guide It was raining the day we went but I am sure that on a reasonable day there would be enough activity to satisfy a 2 yr old There was plenty of time to do your own thing which would probably be good for you
