There is a beach bar for snacks and there is a small local village to get lunch or afternoon tea. There is a small train or a bus. it is a 15 minute walk. There is also a small shop next to the hotel that sells just about everything.

Not that you really will need a light lunch after the massive breakfast available but there is a little tourist train that goes from outside the hotel to the local village (takes about 15 mins) and the timetable is available at the hotel. It's about every hour or you can walk it in around half an hour.

It's either available at the Pool restaurant, they serve lunch, but as mentioned nor that cheap. You can also take something from the mini market (there is a small one at the hotel, good selection and fair prices)....or within 5 minutes walk there are 2 mini markets outside of the hotel resort.

Getting to a nearby restaurant / coffee shop (maybe in Panormos) would take 30 minutes walk, a taxi or bus.

There was an electric kettle in our room and an assortment of teas and coffees as well. Breakfast is included and they have great coffee there, including espresso and cappuccino. That being said, they also serve coffee and light snacks at the island bar, and the restaurant by the big pool appeared to be open for lunch every day. If you have a car, there are nice villages all around where you can find nice authentic Cretan tavernas with great food. If you haven't rented a car, I suggest you do so, as Crete is a beautiful, wonderful, island, and quite a large one.
