The biggest disappointment was the food and dining experience. The food at best was something you might get at a local chain restaurant. First night I had slightly warm bordering on cold, chicken parm served to me. The menu options weren’t great. Not like EVERY other cruise I’ve been on where it was “fine” dining and delicious food The dining room was set up more like a cafeteria with table cloths. The buffet had plenty of food but again not very good. Always cold burgers, pizza was just ok (lacked cheese) always cold cut choices and different foods to try however most of what I tried really wasn’t great. I literally ate nacho chips and salsa for dinner one night from the buffet as that was the only thing I that tasted decent. We resorted to paying for dinner in the “specialty “ restaurants for 2 of the nights. Food was awesome there however it cost 40 Euro per person for dinner. Shouldn’t have to pay that much extra for decent food. Not very friendly or ambitious staff. Lots of bars throughout the ship but the bartenders seemed to work at one pace which was “slow” there was no hustle to try and wait on customers. We actually sat at a bar one night for 15 minutes and couldn’t get a bartender to wait on us. Not a busy bar as there were many empty bar stools. The 2 bartenders strolled around and waited on an occasional person and never walked to our side of the bar. We ended up leaving and going to another bar. A little better but there didn’t seem to be a person working on that ship that appeared to want to be there. Check you bill constantly. We had a drink package that included drinks up to 9.00 per drink. If you order something that is more than 9.00 the bartender is required to tell you in case you want something different. We were charged additional money for “stoli “ vodka in our drinks that we never asked for. This happened twice. I will say when I questioned this on my bill they did take the charges off. If I never checked I would have ended up paying the extra. One interesting charge on the 2nd day at sea was 1.00 per person. On the hill it said MSC foundation. I asked and they said”oh that’s the cruise lines charitable foundation that the money goes to”. I asked why no one asked me if I wanted to donate and why they automatically charged us. They had no explanation and just said they’d reverse the charge if we wanted. Only 1.00 per person but there were 5000 people on just this MSC ship alone. $5000 per week they’re taking from passengers from just this ship. Then the foundation is donating money at probably a write off and it’s not even their money! I donate to charities all the time however it’s my choice who I donate to and the amount. While 1.00 per person seems minimal it shouldn’t just be put on your bill. A little quick math: MSC has 17 ships with a total of 77,684 passengers sailing weekly between all the ships ( if they all have full capacity) that means MSC is bringing in $77, 684 weekly to their foundation without asking a single person if they want to donate and just putting it on their bill. Then the Foundation is donating to charities as if it were MSC cruise lines (owners?) making the donations. Probably a big write off for them and none of it is their money. Just saw something on Good Morning America about the charity work and donations this cruise line does. Anyway, worst food I ever had on a cruise and worst service and employee attitudes

Very rude people. Food is at a terrible standard!!!! If you are a girl coming, prepare for many looks off men that can be extremely uncomfortable and as a result ruin a holiday. Rooms are nice and comfortable but flush never worked!!! Pool is very small and gets very crowded. Check weather before travel, as it was extremely bumpy, people were very seasick and the crew never announced bad weather or made anyone feel at ease. I will never be returning on MSC as my experience with NCL was a 100 times better, and I would 100% recommend them!!

My trip was from June 22-29/24. Overall My Room (14093) keeper was the only person I can say was the best of all. The experience was not very good. Food was 3 out of 10. Everyone in my crew end up with some kind of stomach issue nothing serious but issues. Food quality is not good at all. Lots of bad quality. Eggs are not real eggs unless you eat the fried or boiled. All the other eggs were from carton. The fountain drinks were horrible. All the food looked like McDonalds. Lack of seating for all the people on board. You have to wake up really early to be able to get a seat at the buffet to eat breakfast or you will end up in some corner or in a high table eating uncomfortable. Same situation with the lunch. Smoking is allowed in the casino with door open. Meaning if you are seating anywhere in the same floor or near the casino you will end up smelling like smoke as well. Horrible experience. There were waiters arguing with customers. We were a group of 25 and a waiter from Peru was nasty to one of my friends over a bottle of water. Sorry, can't remember his name. Neither I or anyone in my group will ever travel with this cruise line again.

The ship we boarded for the honeymoon with big dreams is a complete disappointment for us. Our rooms are without glass. We wanted to change it, they did not accept it. Even though the ship was empty. We bought the drink package. The drinks are of poor quality. The food does not reflect the MSC quality. That's why we decided to leave the ship early.
