This was my first cruise and I was so exited and this cruise did not disappoint. Alaska was wonderful and the cruise made it so comfortable I almost forgot we were on the water.

This was our best cruise to date and we would definitely sail with Celebrity again, maybe even on Solstice. The service was exceptional, the food was delicious and the ship itself was beautiful. We stayed in Verandah cabin 9155, it was perfect. The bathroom was much bigger than Princess. It didn't have much entertainment for our teens but they prefer to be with us round the pool or doing activities any way. Our full review with photos is on our site (link in profile).

We booked a cruise on the Celebrity Solstice leaving Melbourne and eventually finishing in Auckland NZ. We arrived at the ship a little early but were pleased our cases were taken off us so w could have some lunch close to the port. We went back to the terminal to check in at our allotted time. The queues to check in were very long and it took an hour to get onto the ship. When we got to our cabin we were very pleased with our balcony stateroom. My wife always likes a cuppa in the morning and was surprised there were no tea making facilities in the cabin. Annoying as we have a travel kettle etc we sometimes bring with us. We always have these with our previous cruises with P&O. My wife contacted guest services and they said you could order one on room service but that is not the same. Anyway we got a kettle, but no milk. A milk hunt began. Then we discovered there were no cups. A bit of a farce but Yusef (our cabin steward) came to our rescue and sorted everything out including small cartons of milk 10/10 for that. A special mention to him as he kept the cabin immaculate during our cruise and nothing was too much trouble for him. After that we settled into everything went for a pre dinner drink and then shown to our designated dining table of 6 people. We were served by 3 of the most fantastic people you could meet. For our whole 10 day cruise we were looked after by June, Reynaldo & Leveling. The service and fun we had were great and they are a credit to Celebrity. If they get to read this I am the Crème Brule guy! The food on board was possibly the best and most consistent quality I have ever had on a cruise ship if not ever. Really pleased with it. We had some great fun at the “Silent Disco” evenings. The bar staff around the ship always worked very hard even smiled while under pressure from the busy times There was always plenty of hand sanitizing stations around the ship and everywhere was very clean. I feel the cruise line couldn’t do anymore to keep everything clean in these uncertain times. Finally I must mention Captain Alex. We certainly looked forward to his morning talk like we used to the latest episode of Game of Thrones! He was very funny and people stopped what they were doing just to listen to him. We would certainly book by preference with Celebrity for our next cruise. As a summary if it's your first time going with celebrity just remember to bring your own tea making etc. There isn't a launderette on board like P&O ships. A small bag of washing is $50. The excursions are very expensive so we didn’t do any. Everything else is 10/10 so these things haven’t put us off but we will be prepared next time.

This was my first Celebrity cruise (I tend to cruise with RCC), and I am now converted. From the moment we arrived on the ship and to the day we disembarked, the crew and the service was tops. We were welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine and as we had booked the concierge class, we enjoyed a welcome lunch at the main dining room. As we were on the cruise at the time of the COVID-19, the crew were constantly cleaning the ship and the Captain gave daily updates on the status of the ship and the weather. Our state room attendant Antonio, and our waiter Putu in the main dining room, looked after us during our cruise. I would certainly consider doing another Celebrity cruise, especially on Solstice.

We just returned from cruise around NZ arriving in Sydney, I have traveled to many places but this was my first cruise and definitely not my last. Although we traveled during this awful Corona Virus situation I have nothing but praise for the wonderful cruise we had and the amazing crew lead by Captain Alex, the way he handled the whole situation keep us posted, reminding everyone of how to stay safe. Our cabin boy Musa was 'super excellent' ( this was how he said he felt every day) and was how he acted. Baron, Kris and Paul in the restaurant were all attentive and knowledgeable. The scenery in NZ was stunning, breath taking and the trip around The Sounds was something we will never forget. The food onboard was excellent and worth the couple of kilos we gained. I like everyone else in the world cannot wait for this craziness to end, but once it does I would not hesitate to recommend taking a cruise with Celebrity and I look forward to my next.
