The staff was outstanding and the food variety in the dining room was just outstanding. Another couple with us and ourselves ordered numerous appitizers and entrees because they were so delicious. The ship is old but the small size made up for the old features. Staff here is excellent and there was always something to do. We have cruised a lot and found this cruise to be great. Itinerary was changed but it did not bother us. Amber Cove and Bimini was good. Masks all the time was ok. Cape Canaveral was great, easy on and off the ship, well organized. Parking at dock was more expensive than off site but very convenient, we were off the ship and on the highway in 40 minutes!

The first night in dining I had asked for a Caesar salad and they put anchovie sauce in it!!! Then my cabin had yellow water coming out of the faucet! Dining area waited a half hour just for a appetizer! There was NO social distancing and then they wanted 185.00 to rent a wheelchair and my fiance is a disabled vet! They just want your money they don't care!!!

I understand we’re in different times due to covid, but I personally feel they could’ve did a lot more for 5 days. Really wasn’t that much to do in the boat, childcare WAS NOT provided after 6 people told me there would be on the first day. Waited and waited around for absolutely nothing. Second day, figured out the the children or unvaccinated guests could not leave the cruise ship unless a bubbles tour is purchased. Of course they were sold out so we I ended up staying in the boat because my children ( 4&2) are not vaccinated. Although I am vaccinated they still could not go. So I sucked it up to find something for them to so, they shut down Everything on the boat, so your left with absolutely nothing to do. I did complain and received Crayons and playdoh. Very disappointed in the trip, because they definitely should’ve been more specific on bringing children. I’ve been on another cruise and it was nothing like this. Unless single or with a spouse, it’s a no for me.

My wife and my self recently returned from a cruise on the Carnival Elation Cruise leaving Port Canaveral on February 22, 2020 and returning on February 27th, 2020. I was very displeased with Carnival management on this trip. We did not make one of our two scheduled stops in Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic. In my opinion, Carnival knew that we could not make this Port before we ever embarked on the trip. We were not informed that we could not make this port until the evening before we were scheduled to stop. We received a letter that evening that had a multitude of excuses including: a late turnaround, weather conditions, a medical emergency (which took about 15 minutes) and a ship issue affecting the maximum speed. Based on what I had heard from others on the cruise, the ships stability system was broken not allowing the ship to reach maximum speed. If Carnival didn’t know about this ahead of time, they certainly should have, and I assume that is why the ship was late getting into port from the trip prior. The ride out to sea the first night was extremely rough and in talking to many experienced cruisers, the ships do not rock anywhere near the extent that we encountered on this trip. I believe that Carnival Management waited until the last minute to tell us to avoid the 24 guarantee that is advertised on the website. Carnival provided a $50 credit for each person which had to be spent on the ship. This seems woefully insufficient for the ship not making one of only two stops that we were scheduled to make. Also, finding out that the ship was going in to dry dock for significant repairs the week following our cruise dates does not help the case for all of the excuses. I have no problem with the workers on the ship including the cruise director Alex who all did their best making the bad situation as good as possible. I realize many of them had to work on their scheduled day off and they all handled it in a very professional manner. This is the first time in 31 years that I have traveled with Carnival and was hoping for a great experience. This has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. It appears to me that Carnival Management is more concerned with getting as much money as possible from their hard working customers versus providing excellent customer service.

This is one of the oldest ships in the Carnival fleet and it does show because there is no Lido deck big screen and a lot of the specialty restaurants and other ships are not there but all in all it was a very good cruise. The cruise director was a surprise, Jenn Baxter. I have cruised with Jenn before and she is always a blast to be around and does an excellent job at entertaining us on board but I expected her to be on another ship and was surprised to see her on elation but very happy. She is amazing. The ship did have stabilizer issues and we lost power for a while which affected dining and other things but Carnival handled it all very well I hope you.
