This is my favourite garden of the 3 in the area. The other 2 being Pinya de Rosa and the famed Marimurtra.

I took the morning bus from Barcelona to Tossa de mar to see the castle fort there. From Tossa there's a bus every half an hour to Lloret. The journey is about 20min through some winding hills. The bus station is next to the tourist office.

From Santa Clotilde you can walk to Pinya de Rosa garden, then walk to the famous Marimurtra. Walking between these places is very safe, and there are many other travelers and locals who walk too. After Marimurtra there are buses and trains back to Barcelona from Blanes.

Santa Clotilde is my favourite due to the simplicity in design and clarity of theme. I also like Pinya de Rosa for its rich display of agave and cactuses. Marimurtra was my least favourite, as it felt messy (lacking in clear theme and a lack of maintenance); it also felt commercial and I feel it needs to be better managed. It was also the most expensive of the 3 gardens with no concession.

We wanted one beach day while we were in Barcelona so rented a car and went to Playa de Fenal. We chose a car rental so we could go to Girona for dinner afterwards.

We chose this beach because: (1) just over an hour from Barcelona; (2) big broad beach but not as party-central as Lloret a few minutes north; (3) a kayak rental place and rocky coastline to explore by water; (4) a path through the rocky coastline to the north to explore by foot; (5) ice cream on the beach and a couple of restaurants. Seems to be mostly Spaniards, some other northern Europeans and Russians. I think we were the only Americans. Plenty of street parking. Buy a day ticket at the machine. Though we were there at the end of May and it was free until June. May was a bit windy and chilly in the morning but it could just as easily been hot.

Simply beautiful, such a stunning building in a wonderful square. We had a lovely walk around the old town.

One of the most beautiful beaches I’ve visited and well worth the trip and steep walk down to the beach.
There are fish in the crystal clear water so be sure to take a mask and snorkel, I was able to take pics of the fish under water. The shore line has gentle slopes for easy access into the water and not to strong waves for the less confident wanting a paddle.
There is a free toilet when I visited next to the beach restaurant, during the summer when I visited there was a life guard, however I have been in spring and there wasn’t a life guard then.
    There are bins for rubbish.
It is quite a steep walk up and down from the beach, I saw people with pushchairs going up and down and it looked like a lot of effort, I couldn’t imagine getting a wheel chair up or down- but it would be worth it.
Parking is on the residential streets around the beach and whilst there are various prices for different periods of time, for the full day it cost us €10 a day which was recently introduced as it was free 18 months ago, I still think it’s worth the fee for such beauty.

By far,the best beach in the area.Soft golden sands backed up by a bustling promenade with a low sea wall.
A castle is nestled at one end of it.
Only drawback is that the sands steeply slope before you can paddle or swim in the sea!

We took the bus from Calella that’s arranged but he water park. It took 1h 30 mins to there after stopping along the way and heavy traffic.

Entry to the park was easy. It’s an older park that needs some fixing up in areas but generally a nice space and well spread out.
We purchased the fast pass premium adding the extra cost but we couldn’t have enjoyed waiting up to 1 hour for some rides. Rides are limited for the day and really 2-3 hours is enough to see them all.
There are food restaurants on site and this is where the money is made back as they charge stupid prices for rubbish food and drink items.
We had a panini when we arrived and a burger coming to the end of the day. The burger wasn’t cooked well and when we got back to Calella that evening both of us had food poisoning. Honestly bring your own food in your backpacks as you can and take it out to the green spaces to eat. Avoid getting sick like us with very poor food.

The park managers need to take note of

Beautiful architecture in a peaceful cemetery that’s both old and modern. There is also a small church and customer information. There are toilets on the site. It was a beautiful contrast to the busy nightclub side of the town

Nice chapel of Santa Christina is located in a very beautiful setting. It has a very specific schedule and is open mostly in summer, so it's better to check out the working hours, if you are planning some event inside( the telephone is on the second photo). It's possible to have a glimpse of the interior through the small window in the entrance door.
Parking a car costs 7 euro.

I thought that it was a very interesting experience that was quite fun in that it was interactive as well, also having drinks on top of the castle at the end just made it perfect

This castle overlooks Lloret De Mar and can be seen from the beach. A 20 minute walk takes you there. If you want to go inside there is a charge. You can walk around the outside and up the steps to the top to experience the views. If you have a phobia of heights or steps this isn’t for you.

Santa Cristina is a lovey small beach split into two coves . There is an exceptionally good restaurant and beach bar in the smaller Southern cove . Beds & brollies @ 7 euros each
