What travellers are saying
- cruisegirlforeverDeptford, NJ2 contributionsOn a cruise in October 2023, We booked the Ron Jon shuttle to Cocoa Beach, Fl.
They dropped us off in a parking lot. We had about a mile walk to get to the pier.
We walked the beach which is very beautiful. The pier only had 2 souvenir stores open as well as as very clean restroom and a bar. The rest of the pier was closed due to weather according to the bartender. Next to the pier a very nice area on the beach with umbrella and chair rentals. Also a beach volleyball court. This is a perfect spot for a beach day.
I gave a 4 out of 5, because most of the pier was closed.Written 11 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ward DSatellite Beach, FL2 833 contributionsI have lived in the area for years and have driven past this place hundreds of times. I always thought that it was just a store selling geodes and fossils. I finally stopped in this place the other day and I am kicking myself for not stopping here sooner. It is fascinating and there is a lot to it for first-time visitors. According to their website, the store first opened in November 1996. They started designing exhibits for museums and other locations. They liked doing it so much and wanted to share it with their community so, in 2006 they designed a non-profit museum right into the design for the new Dinosaur Store. The NEW Dinosaur Store and Adventure Zone opened on the first floor in March 2009, and the Museum of Dinosaurs and Ancient Cultures opened on the second and third floors in April 2017. It is fascinating. There are 3 floors to the entire site. The first floor is a store and other adventures. The second floor is the dinosaur exhibits and the third floor is dedicated to ancient civilizations. The prices are about $12/person to see the upper 2 floors. The exhibits are top quality and truly are the best I have seen in any museum. I spent about hours looking at all the different pieces from various periods. It was fascinating, beautiful, and amazing. I highly recommend this place to any visitor in the area. Enjoy.Written 17 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jan S5 contributionsGreat restaurant. We sat on the pier over the water and it was an incredible view. Food was excellent. We ordered the grouper, which was amazing, pork nachos, and a ceasar salad. All was very good. Service was great. Jeremy was our server and did a great job.
We did have to wait a LONG time to be seated but it was worth it. It was a little confusing how they seat people… once they had enough room for 30 people, then they let that amount come in. Seemed an odd way to seat people. It definitely caused the long line and people left because they didn’t want to keep waiting. It was worth it to us!Written 5 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Bring water and sun screen as the facility is open and it can get hot in the summer sun.Written 25 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mel P2 contributionsBreakers Art Gallery is the best place to buy not only gorgeous wall art, but gifts for anyone. Jewelry, glass, pottery, sculpture, apparel, cards, stickers—great selections! I like that there is a lot to choose from at all price ranges, from true art investment to a fun gift purchase. You have to walk around more than once to take it all in!Written 24 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mark W1 contributionWow, what a performance. We had a wonderful entertaining evening enjoying a musical-play delivered by some talented actors/actresses. The title of this play was called "Once Upon A Mattress." The story was filled with lots of laughter and muse. The stage delivery, costumes and theatre set was truly amazing in that of a Broadway Show. Thanks to each of the performers for supplying us with such a fun watchful performance. Yes, we would recommend seeing this musical before it ends. We also look forward to attending other events in the future.Written 11 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
