What travellers are saying
- henryandjrStafford, UK143 contributionsSmall museum in centre of town describing the horrific events of the holocaust. Very well presented with local testaments of what happened in the school building and the towns inhabitants. Minimal entrance fee and a must place to visit. Very humbling and thought provokingWritten 4 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TripRabbitVirginia402 contributionsWe chose this cliffside monastery because it does not require lengthy walks or any climbing to reach. Mega Spileo’s lengthy history is reflective in many ways of Greece itself since the medieval days with any number of various struggles, tragedies and triumphs, many of which are visually told on the monastery’s church walls. Despite losses from fires over the centuries, its museum nonetheless holds a number of interesting and historic religious artifacts (unlike an earlier reviewer, we were charged a small fee for museum entry.) There is little signage in the lovely main church or cliffside shrine, but the museum’s displays have information in both Greek and English. Recommended.Written 29 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Evangelos AAthens, Greece9 contributionsThe place where Greek heroes of 1821 gave their vow to free the country. Inside of the church stands also the first historic flag. Great place for Christianity and Greek history!Written 3 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- asfiskKifissia, Greece89 contributionsA sacred monument dedicated to the victims of WW2 that were executed by the Nazis.
At 13/12/1943 all men over 12 years old were asked to take food for one day and a blanket because they would be moved to another village. Instead of moving to another village they were taken on that hill and executed.Written 21 August 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JNB2011Kolossi, Cyprus1 310 contributionsVery nice cave but better to visit it in Winter or Spring. The only thing was that in this period, because it didn't rain the lakes were empty. And the ticket was a bit expensive for 9 euros per person.Written 1 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chloe A4 contributionsVery nice farm in a beautiful location. The owner is happy to speak about the animals.
The animals seem healthy and most of them happy!
Nice outdoor giant games also.
The only thing is the price that we found a bit too high to come back unfortunately.Written 4 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Steve KConshohocken, PA76 contributionsWhile on our way to the Kalavrita Canyon Hotel & Spa we passed a sign that said free tastings and couldn't resist since we were driving twisty curvy mountain roads for a while and needed a break. While the gentleman only spoke a little English we managed to get a tour and sample about 5 of their wines and purchased a few bottlesWritten 13 August 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
