I was travelling on Route 150 on my way to a mine site for work. The geology is stunning. My co-workers I stopped at a small local deli in Las Flores for a sandwich. I wish I could remember the name. There were numerous laying on the grass in the hot sun to greet us. They hardly acknowledged our presence.

We drove 5 km NW of our Hotel Vinas del Sol to a parking garage (60 Ap) near the main Plaza 5th de Mayo. Form here we walked 350 meters NW to visit this museum. An English speaking receptionist, gave us an overview, guided tour possibility, and suggested donation (20 Ap). We decided for a self tour. His family home is remarkably preserved, with 7 rooms of furniture including his mother's noted loom, memorabilia, and information on his life and influence as a writer, governor of this province, 6 years of presidency and diplomatic career.
    Worthwhile historical visit.

Great tour in more than decent English. Authentic, fair and passionate about their wines. Good tasting, highly recommended! Wish we could have bought more wine but we came by plane.
Easy to reach with bus 14 from the city center.

Definitely worth 2 nights here. We had our campervan and drove and stayed up there. Camping is for free. Very good shower facilities. Hiking in the morning ... and one night prebook the Observatory tour and the next evening prebook the Blokart in Barreal for 6pm at the mud lake just at the foot of El Leoncito.

We drove up on the Chilean side. Customs and immigration is near the bottom and were efficient. Then there is tarmac road as far as the lagoon. After this you are on a very decent gravel road all the way to the top.
The road is not too steep, although our car did suffer a little from the altitude near the top.
Amazing views and beautiful colouring in the rocks. The top has some monuments, but it is really about the drive.

Just like any other major river in Argentins this one is worth visiting especially when there is not that much water. The banks of the river and mountains make a beatifull picture.

I'm told this is a very impressive dam,
but we only saw it late at night.

From the bus, it resembled a scaled-down version of Boulder Dam (on the Colorado River).

Modern cathedral Modern but simple, is a really nice cathedral and you can visit the cathedral tower for free (contribution is optional but well received).

Es una catedral diferente, moderna y sencilla, se puede visitar la torre gratis (a la gorra).

This little museum is the place to go if you are interested in learning more about the earthquake that destroyed the city in 1944. The only room of the museum which is filled with several photographs, urban models and newspaper articles isn't spectacular, but it is an informative collection of the city's history and the events of 1944. It's so interesting to see what certain parts of the city were like in comparison to how you will find them today, and the tour accompanying the visit couldn't have been better! The museum guide was so friendly, explaining everything I could have possibly wanted to know and answering all my questions. (In Spanish, although I am sure they could explain in English as well if you asked) The museum is for free and very easy to find on a main road.

In 2017 I took a flight to the province of San Juan with my mother. He accompanied me to an Arab dance festival called ALDANZAR, which we went to with my teachers and my classmates. It was the first time we were there.
One day we decided to rest and visit the Ullum levee. It wasn't surprising or there weren't many activities to do, but I'm sure when I was there I really enjoyed it. Because it was a quiet and pleasant place ... I could appreciate a beautiful view, calm and clear waters and the mountains behind ... it was an easy trip but to be honest I felt connected with nature.
so finally, I recommend that you do a type of trip similar to this ... you are going to thank me

We spend a lovely afternoon, we did a tiny tour where they showed us the process of making wine and then we had a tasting. The staff was incredibly warm.

Lindo paseo, visitamos la finca, nos mostraron el proceso de fabricación del vino y después hicimos una degustación, todos fueron super amables.
