What travellers are saying
- Pam TNewtown, CT3 contributionsIt was the best beach I have ever been to!!! The water was warm, the sand, soft, great waves! Very cool inlet near low tide where the water was calm and so clear. Some people, more locals, not touristy! Food and vibe was great at Lola's! Definitely worth the trip!!!Written 10 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Santiago ZBuenos Aires, Argentina165 contributionsAmazing beach in the pacific coast of Costa Rica! You can get a nice place with umbrella and chairs for us$20. You can order beer, and a lot of different drinks. Food offer is not the best. You can purchase a surf class; this beach is very friendly for surf begginers! You can park in the street if you come early (before 10 am), if´s not, there´s private parking. Sunsets are really beautiful!!!!Written 10 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sheila FCapistrano Beach, California, United States20 contributionsA visit to the Monkey Park lets you see the animals they have rescued and find out their individual stories. We especially loved seeing the ocelot and margay but the spider monkey was also funny to watch. Your admission helps them to continue to help these animals and others that can no longer survive in the wild because they were either illegally adopted as pets or were harmed in accidents. A worker on the grounds was able to bring the deer closer to us so that we could get some amazing pictures and see her up close. He also helped my son to hold a chicken. It doesn't take long to go through the park, maybe a little over an hour.Written 11 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Seaworthy-ChartersDana Point, CA142 contributionsWe took a family vacation to Costa Rica and since we run a fishing charter business ourselves, we wanted to fish the local waters. Signed up for a 3/4 fishing trip with a local team and took the entire family. The guys were great and took us to some of their favorite spots. Caught all kinds of fish, made great memories, and had the best day on the water! Thank you!Written 28 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Northern_Traveler00California75 431 contributionsEvery night about 20 minutes before sunset groups form at this beach, as it faces directly towards the setting sun, for spectacular views. Low tide is easier than high tide, but there is still plenty of place to watch for the green flash (I am still "0 for life" searching but others have seen it here), and enjoying each other's companyWritten 24 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John R6 contributionsStopped in for a flight of beers on a beautiful afternoon. The view is outstanding watching the surfers. This is the reason to come. The service was not great and took 5+ minutes to get our beers even though it was just us and another couple who also was not being helped. The beers themselves are just OK and I found the beers from other breweries they offered better than theirs. Still hard to complain too much about cold beer on a beautiful beach. And it was a nice change from just drinking Imperial.Written 27 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Courtney RBoise, ID5 contributionsGood experience to see a few different vendors. Our daughter is almost 5 and enjoyed jumping on the trampoline and playing with the other kids around.Written 21 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ashleyf179Palm Bay, FL3 contributionsAshala honestly made my trip to Costa Rica. This was my first reading ever and she gave me so much validation that to this day it makes me tear up. I wish I could have readings from her constantly. She is such a light and makes you feel like an immediate friend. She told me things I had been secretly telling myself for years. I loved every minute of my one hour reading and would 100000% do it again.Written 4 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marijo HOlympia, WA90 contributionsA helpful staff member provided great service and information as a Tamarindo local.
We got our stamps, put them on our 25 postcards and left them with him. We will see how long the postal service takes from Costa Rica to US because we always send one to ourselves to see if it gets to our house before we do.
Oh, and they do have a big selelction of books in English if you need something to read.Written 9 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They have open play in the afternoons or you can reserve a court for mornings. They have a cafe and also rent equipment. Loved it!Written 13 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Martin11250507Alma, AR71 contributionsMy husband and I enjoyed the 11 different zip lines. The guides were friendly, funny and easy to understand. I even got to go upside down on one of the longest runs; what a thrill. The views were mainly of the ranch. We saw iguanas and howler monkeys. Several of the runs were very long which we enjoyed and there was little hiking between each one.Written 2 April 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
