- Cheryl C1 contributionDanilo was a great guide! He speaks English and told wonderful stories about things we were seeing. - Joe MGlen Cove, NY949 contributionsA good 20 minute ride from center of Campos do Jordão, the Horto Florestal is a very popular and well maintained nature preserve.
There are several trails (5 or 6 if I recall correctly) and we chose the Trilha do Rio Sapucaí which is a moderate trail and estimated at 90 minutes of walking. We were lucky to have a beautiful day in mid July which made the hike quite pleasant. A nice thing to do to escape the hectic nature of Campos during the weekends.Written 18 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's a nice place to take pictures, drink a coffee and relax. Better go by car or by a private excursion. The entrance costs R$10. There is an auditorium where you can watch shows.Written 3 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Navigator735698Sao Paulo, SP6 contributionsgreat view over the city and surroundings, also a nice walk up/and or down, the entertainment is not so great up there, so just enjoy the viewWritten 4 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JanM123456789London, UK5 contributionsWe are still here, quick word of warning, bring mosquito spray and plenty of it. Also fly spray.
Literally can’t fault the hotel or location or entertainment. The flies on the food have put me off. Been in room all day today due to upset stomach.
Apparently September is the worst month to come to Boa Vista, due to rain fall which then attracts the flies. Been taking all my food from the bottom of the serving dish, but unfortunately caught me in the end.
No local chemist so please ensure you bring supplies
We actually got to go in the sea yesterday due to green flag. Tried the previous day but the undercurrent (amber flag) was too strong for me
Did the full island tour on Sunday, was great to see some of the island, but also sad with the amount of poverty on Boa Vista.

- Andrea B.Houston, TX90 contributionsThe ski lift going up is pretty scary if you look down and see your feet dangling above trees and streets, but the view from the top is worth it. Cool adventure.Written 30 July 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- FelipeDallBrasilia, DF68 contributionsIt's a good place to go at the end of the day. There isn't many things to see in the place, but the Praying with Gregorian Choir at the dusk it's beautiful and touching.Written 5 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Adoramos fazer trilhas!! (It is a wooded, pleasent and well-kept site with free admission to trails, while tree climbing, zip lines and other activities for children and adults to enjoy are paid for. We made the trail and went to the Silver Shower because it was already getting dark. We delayed our script a title because there was a race going on and many streets were closed. It was already getting dark. We love to do trails!!)😅😅Written 26 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
