What travellers are saying
- FlyGirlDenver, CO43 contributionsA local friend suggested to spend a Sunday at this museum. At first I did not expect much, but just wanted to spend some time in her company, but was pleasantly surprised at the variety of artwork at a relatively small place. As the name suggests, there was a good number of Boteros, but have there are other modern artists as well. The architecture is charming and the building well-maintained.
We had a late lunch at the restaurant with a mediterranean flair. We split an hors d'oeuvre which was absolutely delicious! (Or maybe because I was very hungry from all that walking around)! :)Written 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Well laid out. Clean. An amazing number and type of artifacts, including some of the most important pieces in pre-Columbian life. Much of the explanations in English and Spanish. Docents in many areas and proactively helpful. Lighting is hood. Walking spaces sufficient.
Gift shop with many fine items, albeit slightly more expensive than expected. Good variety of food and snacks at the cafeteria.
Lots in this walking area of the El Central zone of the city. Just be conscious, aware, and alert… as crime sometimes does happen to those that appear easy targets.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The scenery is just breathtaking, it has beautiful views of the city. Try to go early in the morning because there are many crowds. I recommend to attend mass at the shrine. Avoid going late because they close at 1.00 p.m.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Dunja1959Porto, Portugal40 contributionsHistory, museum and street marked combined.
Very safe with heavy police presence.
Colorful experience.
Very expensive items sold on street marked, double price of Medellin.Written 16 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Easy to access. Good variety of flora. Excellent place for taking long walks away from crowds in a dense city! Inadequate descriptions, even in Spanish, made it a challenge to know what I was observing. But touring the garden with apps like iNaturalist, PictureThis, and even Merlin Bird ID elevates the quality of the garden. I recommend a visit! Note: I only walked the basic grounds of the garden, and for only about one hour.Written 28 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Travelaround59London, UK1 867 contributionsOur hotel (Hip and Trendy according to our travel agent!) happen to be in this area so we walked around and is a very nice area with galleries and bars and restaurants and an overall nice vibe. I think is nice to stay in a different area from the more touristy just to try to get the feeling of a city.Written 20 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CangelHampton Bays, NY7 contributionsThe Museum itself is beautiful. They have interactive games and puzzles, my 11-year-old enjoyed it. We spent a little over 2 hours there. We will come back on our next trip.Written 28 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Travelaround59London, UK1 867 contributionsThe square is large and airy unfortunately 3 sides of it are covered for restoration so I couldn’t really enjoy the beauty of it. The side that is visible show a beautiful church and convent. There is a little market in the square.Written 20 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- craig_travelerSan Francisco, CA343 contributionsVery high end by and large. Bong expect a budget experience if coming here. The bast aspect in my opinion is the food court on the top floor. Lots of choice and nice outdoor seating areas.Written 2 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
