What travellers are saying
- doctorfoxtrotTaguig City, Philippines8 186 contributionsThis is a religious place of worship covering several deities. Centers on Buddhism , although it is said to cover Taoism as well . Look at the leaflets. Covers any wish that you wish to happen. Reminder is that you cannot have your photo taken with the Gods they revere. The fountain near the entrance is a sight to see.Written 27 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - IndySigIndianapolis, IN3 842 contributionsWe enjoyed this location during the week but stay away in the weekends. There are so many stores, lights, sounds and foods. It is truly a sensory experience.Written 6 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ZimminaroundtheworldOkinawa Prefecture, Japan1 911 contributionsI found the Bopiliao Street to be very interesting, mainly because the brick buildings are so much different then any other buildings in Taipei. The street is not far from the Longshan Temple and a few of the night markets, so it is worth a stop. I came here later in the evening, and there was not a whole lot going on. A few exhibits were open displaying art and the history of the area. The cobble stone streets and narrow paths reminded me a lot of European cities. I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to come here, but if you are nearby then it is definitely worth a stop.Written 22 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ooi Hong K24 contributionsThere was a section with well-stocked pineapple cakes, sun crispy cakes, mochi etc in the 24-hour supermarket. Like us, there were some other tourists picking these items too. As we bought over NT2000 worth of souvenirs, Carrefour gave us a tax refund which is claimable at the airport before we flew home.Written 19 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Yao H42 contributionsHidden traditional temple inside an alley within the bustling Wanhua district, close to the Ximending. Very atmospheric with the multiple lanterns. Not many tourists on the day we visited, allowing a nice peaceful pray and strollWritten 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maria Maita KYorkton, Canada78 contributionsOur hotel NET is just around the corner and it is very accessible to go everywhere because the mtr is just a few blocks away. better have those walking feet of yours ready because you will be walking a lot but we enjoyed it. I love people watching and enjoyed the performance of those street performer. This night market is different from other night markets we went to. but we really like it and enjoyed it. Lots of food to choose from and yes lots and lots of people too. if you like shopping then this is the place for you. not your typical night market were you can sit and eat and people watching. its more of shopping, buying carry on food and walk around and watch street performers. we enjoyed it. i hope you will too.Written 16 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Yao H42 contributionsOne of the big three traditional Temples in the Wanhua district. It is not as crowded with much less tourists, while retaining the traditional Southern Chinese architecture. As such, it is very peaceful as we walk around this traditional temple while admiring the architecture, including a calming fish pond with waterfallWritten 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LunasolhkHong Kong, China785 contributionsVery trendy IG spot with the U shape former market building. It was well hidden in a market, close to Long San Shi MRT Station, and the only way to get in is to walk past a wet market which you can also have a peak of the daily life of Taiwan public.
there is a cafe inside this building too!Written 2 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
