Shake hands with a reef shark, think about a great lobster dinner, dive in the largest warm water aquarium with more species than you can count.

Such an amazing place - wide variety of coral and fish easily seen when snorkeling. We also went to a nearby stop where we could see sharks, rays, and sea turtles - so wonderful!

Lovely, quiet & in the middle of nowhere. We enjoyed every minute we spent here relaxing after our snorkling trip.

This place is a hidden gem! You do not have to book a tour to go. You stop at the ticket booth and pay the enterance fee (I think $5 to $7US per person, 5 and under free). You can take pictures of the nice temple out front. Drive up and park them walk up the road to the falls. There are 3 falls you can wade/swim in. The biggest falls are on the top i no one is there start there. Jump off the platform into the water!!
No one was there when we got there earlier in the morning. Water was cool and refreshing.
There is a nice covered area you could bring a lunch and spend all day if you wanted.

While staying at Laru Beya, a few minutes away, the trip to Lola's and a chance to meet her, the extended family and view her works in progress were a complete delight. So much so we visited 3 days in a row bringing new clients to purchase her handmade artworks. Similar in tradition to the folk or outsider artists in the USA, Lola Delgado-Crossman is self taught, the first woman to open a gallery in Belize (and is in the process of opening another) and was finishing a special commission for the Belize government of items to be given to visiting dignitaries when we were there. Many, many thanks to Lola, Liz, Bernard and Mr. Winston who invited us into their living spaces, explaining items like the calabash gourds and were simply delightful. Visitors to the peninsula--take the time to find Lola on Lola Delgado Blvd., in the heart of Seine Bight--you will be glad you did!

A very nice and convenient pier for sailors. Tie up your dinghy, pay a (very small) fee and your dinghy is safe for hours while you wander around.
Nice low docks with many tie-up cleats make your life easy.

We have been several times and are never disappointed by the food and service. I would say that the portions are large so we did share meals every time. If you are a beer drinker, I am not, there is quite a selection.

If you're into paintings, this is not to be missed. Local artists and a wide variety of styles. Also visit Ex's wood shop just up the road!

Stopped by this little hole in the wall - like it really is pretty much that - and, it was later in the day, just had a cinnamon roll. Seemed a bit dry but got it back to our place, zapped in the micro for a few seconds, a little butter, and what looked pretty ordinary turned out to be one of the best bakery items we had all trip. Had heard this guy was good - seems to be the case/

We happened to be snorkelling at Laughing Bird Caye and there was some jewellery for sale there at a very small kiosk but we did not buy any since we do not take money with us when we go snorkelling. The gentleman in the kiosk told us we could get the jewelry we wanted at the creator's shop in Placencia. It turned out that The Art Affair Gallery was across the street from where we were staying. I ended up buying a few pairs of earring for my wife, daughter etc. that were very unique in that they were made from Lionfish fins. They were beautiful and very much appreciated by all the girls. The Art Affair Gallery had many other types of jewelry, all of it very nice and mostly things you will not get any where else. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and friendly. The prices were very reasonable.
