Well worth the tour particularly with the accompanying earphone guides throughout.
Not very arduous for those who are older like us and very interesting in the viewing and listening throughout the tour

Absolutely stunning bay with the added bonus of regular visits of large stingrays who cruise up and down the beach. Toilets and showers available as you leave the beach

Really beautiful grounds to visit and staff were lovely. Well worth a visit to a big winery like this but don’t forget to go to some of the smaller wineries too.

A not for profit sanctuary doing great work to educate while entertaining visitors.
Watching the birds in flight (select times per day) is a must, even the teenagers were surprisingly entertained!!

What a fabulous place. 20 min drive from Margaret River and on the way we were wondering if it would be worth it, but I had seen some recipes from their website and wanted to buy some of the products. It was totally a highlight of our trip to the region - very relaxing, fabulous cottage garden, and a proper licenced cafe with a great menu. We were there in the morning, not expecting it to be more than a morning tea kind of place, but would have loved to be there at lunchtime as the full menu looked awesome. We had tea/coffee and shared a scone (very big) and the boysenberry pies coming out looked huge. Staff were lovely and the atmosphere in the garden was super relaxing. We went into the farm shop to stock up on chutneys and jams as well. Will definitely go back there on another trip down South and go at lunchtime for a proper meal.

This is a stunning little beach which is really safe for swimmers and children. There is also a boardwalk from the car park stretching right around to the opposite headland. The walk takes about 40 each way and offers some great views.
My only advice would be, keep your lunch covered up as the seagulls can be a bit of a pest,

This great place has just changed hands so they are renovating. Meaning you can't have any cafe food for now, but there is ice cream and the coffee is fabulous.

I would highly recommend a visit. We were looking for a way to get our of the heat after several beach days and thought this would take care of an hour or two, but we spent well over 3 hours here with our two boys. The illusions are brilliant, our boys went over them again and again. We then went outside for a play, sat down for an ice cream and coffee while having a go at the mind puzzles and then the kids went back in again.

It's a bargain for the entry fee. Once renovations are done, this will be a gem of the region.

Take the drive from the very south at Hamelin Bay and go through to Dunsborough. Stop wherever the opportunity is. Deer Farm. Wineries. Beaches. Caves. Up to you but take this road rather than the highway and take in the forests and the side diversions.

The first vines were planted at Cape Mentelle in 1970, making it the fifth oldest winery in the Margaret River region. Since then, Cape Mentelle has gained an awesome reputation fot its wines, making it a benchmark for the region. The colonial-style estate and barrel house have become a magnet for visitors who want a gourmet-style meal, with estate-grown wines. Among Cape Mentelle's most-admired wines are Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. No matter where you come from, you can be assured of a warm welcome.

I love the visitor centre. The staff are very knowledgeable on what's on in the area and what's good to visit.
