What travellers are saying
- Trailing NomadAbu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates176 contributionsWe went here with family (ages 4-61) and we all had a great time.
We didn't have too much luck and only found some vegetation, nothing amazing, but it was still fun. It was the perfect place for our very active boy, who had a blast breaking things with a hammer.
There is a little hut at the entrance where you pay entrance and can rent hammers and chisels for a fee. There is also a restroom and a little station where you can clean the tools.
Just to be aware, it is very dusty and you will get dirty. There are no seats and no sun covers, so some people bring little seats and even little tents or sun shades.Written 8 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. From the outside the building looks like an old baroque style building - no frills, little decorations. The inside however takes you back in time and really leaves an impression: stunning paintings, altars and carvings, gold clattered pieces of decoration on pillars and walls, each angel uniquely different, ceiling paintings that would remind you of Michaelangelo's work. Definitely go see this!Written 24 August 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Melinda PYorba Linda, CA555 contributionsWe always come here when we come to Eichstätt because it is majestic! The architecture and artwork is extraordinary. It is always cold inside even in the summer so be prepared for that! Can’t wait to come back!Written 20 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Melinda PYorba Linda, CA555 contributionsAlthough there are some current renovations going on, this castle has great views from all sides so is definitely worth the hike up! The Jura Museum is housed inside and we love exploring the museum every time we come to Eichstätt.Written 20 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
