Put Termoli on your visit list if in the Molise area. The castle area is a delight and so is just wandering the streets of the compact old town

Visiting this Roman style cathedral is worth the exercise. It has crypt where former religious people are burried. Simple decoration. The bishops house nearby is worth a guided tourin since they digged up all kinds of historical artifacts in hidden cellars. Tour Costa only € 5,- and takes 30 minutes.

Termoli castle is a natural highlight when visiting Termoli. Just walking around the exterior to gain view points of the city is worth it - even if it’s cold

We had an incredible day in Termoli at Lido Panfilo - the staff are so friendly and always have a smile. The beach is clean, the sunbeds are comfortable and the sea is just beautiful. You get an incredible view of the town centre (which is just a 5min walk away) and the lido also has a bar with delicious food and a huge selection of drinks. It's also really clean with great facilities including a bar area and toilets and showers. What made it especially memorable was how kind Angelo and all the staff are. We live in Campania and drove over for the day as it was my dad's birthday and what a great day out it was. We also brought our dog Lola to the beach for the first time and she loved relaxing in the shade with us. We can't wait to return and it was really easy to book a spot on WhatsApp (we got the number on their website). Thank you for everything Lido Panfilo and see you soon!

In the medieval quarter of Termoli, you will find what is considered the narrowest alley in Europe. It's a nice place for a photo op and if you decide to walk through it, unless you are very slim you will have to walk the short distance sideways.

I had read about this type of old fashioned fishing and its connection to the area and so it was great to see where it takes place in Termoli. What a beautiful setting.
Although I didn’t see this type of fishing in action, it is good to know that its heritage is being preserved.

Piazza Duomo serves a bit like medieval Termoli area north star. The strong-shouldered duomo's magnificent coral sculptured doors stand out dramatically from many angles. It is more reassuring and peaceful in its lack of complication than the largest piazza in an old town might be imagined.

Alternately, when events are held within its generous space or summer crowds abound, there's a completely different aura.

I've been feeling a bit put-off about the thousands of older Western Hemisphere males, usually political or miiitary, postured triumphantly in massive blocks of metal or concrete. As time passes, we most often stop asking who most of them were, or caring about why they're still in place.

Termoli took another more refreshing approach, relaxedly posing two of its acclaimed, as having retained the common touch. Of course, we should do the same for notable women as well, and why stop there? How about children who win national spelling bees? Sales clerks of the year? Custodians of a nation's treasures?

The possibilities are endless. They can be poised jumping rope, twirling pizza dough, fixing a flat tire, yawning, sneezing, All kinds of stuff with which we can all identify. Make them even a bit more personable.

    Good show!
