Paula was very friendly and enjoyable to be with for our wine tasting. We were here at 4pm for a 3 wine tasting. So fun!!! Well done. Easy, quick drive from Montepulciano.

Wine was solid, but more importantly the winery was over the top. Incredible experience thanks to our guide, Emilio. Would highly recommend for the history and amazing story of the winery!

We chose Tenuta Valdipiatta to visit because we were driving around Montepulciano and the winery was conveniently close to that city. I had booked a tasting for us on October 11, 2023, after reading about them at their web site. (The Tenuta Valdipiatta web site needs to be up-dated a bit; because the Father has eased himself out of the vineyard and wine business while his daughter, Miriam, is now married to Giuliano, an ex-Air Italia steward, who helps manage the vineyards and winery.) We got a first-rate tour of the vineyards close to the tasting room, from Giuliano, including an in-depth explanation about what makes this site unique from a soil and climatic perspective. Giuliano then treated us to a wonderful tasting of several of their best Montepulciano wines. Giuliano was captivating, personable, charming, entertaining and very hospitable to my wife and I. We were so impressed with the quality of the Montepulciano wines that we tried, that we ordered half of a case of them for shipment back to our home in the USA. We had a great time because of this personal attention and because of the high quality of the Montepulciano wines. Thank you!

The drive from Rome to Montepulciano was very nice. We stayed at the Relais Ortaglia and it is great B&B and the owners were very cordial and had lots of suggestions and provided a very good breakfast menu. The town was so historic with shopping and dining options that were great. Or visit was Avignonesi was exceptional. If you can, do the tour, cooking class, and the five-course meal with wines. The staff is so very friendly and helpful. The chef doing the cooking class was really fun and the interaction with our wine tour host was fun. Our wine tour host - Marina - was the best. She was so knowledgeable and easy to talk to and fun to be around. We did the five-course meal twice it was so good. The reception staff really makes you feel welcome. My Italian was not so good, but they didn't seem to mind, and we had great conversations.

Wonderful to visit Montipulciano and to climb it’s narrow steets and explore. At the top is the piazza which is beautiful and if you are brave you can climb to the top of the bell tower for fantastic views of Tuscany. Great town, wine based(!) and perfect in every way.

We walked from Montepulciano's Piazza Grande to the church; the walk to the church is definitely much more forgiving than the walk back. With that said, we found the church to be beautiful; in the late afternoon, there were no crowds and we were, for a little while, the only ones inside. Tickets are required (€3,5 per person) and the ticket shop also has some cold water bottles and snacks available for purchase (greatly needed after the walk!).

We loved this place and will go back, as it was a feast of Tuscan dishes prepared well, served by staff who lit up as we returned empty plates and shared the delight of having eaten their food (of which they were clearly proud). We had a lovely bottle of their wine to go with the meal and took olive oil and a few more bottles with us. Recommend for family or group of friends, also be a nice spot for dinner for 2! We enjoyed lunch at a table inside with a huge view across the valley- marvellous!

We had the most fantastic time, our guide was called Enrica, and she was so knowledgeable and very funny, I could have listened to her all day! You could tell she loved what she was doing and she also really looked after everyone!! The hosts at the cantina were so lovely, the food was delicious and the wine pairing with the various courses was fantastic, would highly recommend 😊 we loved being able to go into the cellars.

Boscarelli was chosen by our guide as one of two Montepulciano Wineries to visit and he chose well. It is a medium producer of wine - producing about 100,000 bottles per year.

Vin Nobli is what Montepulciano is famous for and it is made of 75%-80% Sangiovese.

Giovanni was our delightful host and guide while at the winery.

He provided a comprehensive and excellent tour. He showed us not only the vines, but gave us fresh grapes to taste right from the vine.

We tasted 4 wines including, DOCG Vin Nobli Reserva, DOCG Vin Nobli, and Rosso (my favorite).

We highly recommend visiting this charming winery and getting to meet Giovanni and the other passionate staff at Boscarelli
