- Dean-TravellerMugla, Türkiye927 contributionsChora is the ancient hill top village built around the Monastery of St John. Narrow cobbled streets lead between old houses, many now restored holiday homes. Views appear randomly but each is spectacular over the hillside, windmills and sea.
There are cafes and small shops. Parking is just below the village. Taxi from the port at Skala is inexpensive and can take in a stop at the Cave of the Apocalypse.Written 30 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jens_OlesenLondon, UK122 contributionsHands down, the best shop on the island. I can honestly say my entire living room is full of Dimitra’s creations because they’re just brilliant. - PhiletLo78Ile-de-France, France145 contributionsYes,no doubt: the best one on Patmos!
The footpath is easy and quick (35 mn approx.) . The beach was empty end of october and the canteen was cloded. Few waves, slope , ideal for children ( but we do not know if it is the case when windy !) . Do not miss it during your stay at patmosWritten 1 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They have a nice terrace on the side with a swing, which is a great idea to enjoy a relaxing cocktail. The cocktails are very nice, always ask the waitress to explain. Maybe they can make a new creation cocktail as you like it. In general the place is not crowded, most people show up after 11:00pm.Written 25 July 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TWal1Canberra, Australia2 926 contributionsThese windmills are prominent on Patmos. The architecture is simple and they are solid and well maintained. They are easily accessible and provide a great photo stop. The backdrop is stunning, particularly with clear blue skies.Written 10 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
