What travellers are saying
- AnnaPaderborn, Germany1 contributionAbsolutely fantastic wildlife park. Full of native (or historically native) animals. Despite the weather being rainy, we saw wolves, lynx, wildcat, many birds, deer, bison, cows etc. We visit regularly and whilst we don’t see every single animal everytime, that’s definitely a positive thing! The enclosures are very well proportioned to provide suitable cover and space for the animals they house, and everytime we go we see something we didn’t see last time. Animal welfare obviously takes a priority here and you can tell they really care.
Lovely cafe with amazing cake! And it’s free!
If you are going to visit a wildlife park/zoo in the local area PLEASE go here where animal welfare and health takes priority and DO NOT go to Delbrück where the enclosures are completely unsuitable for the animals.Written 20 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You can have something to eat and /or drink. Walk around the area, enjoy the view over the surrounding area. Get some history.
You can make the stop as long as you like, depending on the area of your interest.
Worth the visit.Written 20 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Roddy PJohannesburg, South Africa911 contributionsBuilding is very dramatic and shows the wealth and status of the town of old. Walk into the quadrangle and see some interesting additions and changes to the rooms and design over the yearsWritten 30 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SimonF64East Stour, UK302 contributionsLovely lake to take a walk or jog around - also with restaurant / cafe with good selections. Parking can be limited at peak periods.Written 20 May 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MelH64Greater London, UK281 contributionsThe Bielefelder Alm as the stadium is known without sponsorship, has decent terracing if you are able to get a ticket.Currently, Arminia are pushing for promotion, so these are at a premium.
Bielefeld Hbf is about fifteen minutes away, and there aren't any bars around the ground so street drinking is the norm.Written 11 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Admission is relativily inexpensive but you have to reserve well in advance since each tour has only a limited number of participants. The family/company museum is well organized, professional and very informative. Pudding samples and the snack at the end of the tour are very delicious! The visitor leaves with a littly goody back and the feeling that Dr. Oetker is a really good company.Written 5 January 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Florian254Norddeutschland1 426 contributionsThe Kunsthalle lies at the end of the pedestrian area in a nice little park with some statues in and is just a 10 minute walk from the Sparrenburg, It is a modern 3 storey building, not too large but with high ceilings and good lighting appropriate for displaying art.
The layout is a bit funny; there is no obvious walk through any exhibition so on one hand it is a bit about discovering, on the other, if the exhibition calls for a certain (i.e. chronological) order to walk through on can easily miss it.All rooms and facilities are clean and in good condition.
For what is on display, they do change the exhibits regularly so have a look on their internetpage to see if what they have is something you like. They do offer guides for groups, audioguides and the pictures normally come with good information.Written 17 September 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BernardLondon, UK237 contributionsThis is a small museum mainly about local history, especially the machines that were used for spinning linen, and some historic bicycles. Unfortunately all the explanations and object labels were in German, so we didn't understand much. But it was a quiet place and some things didn't need too much said anyway.Written 30 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
