What travellers are saying
- Jessica SWolverhampton, UK23 contributionsA beautiful beach but once actually sat down, there's endless amounts of lighters, cigarette buts, and bits of rubbish. It'd be so much better if it was cleaner. However the fairground rides were great and some really nice restaurants and bars surrounding beach and nearbyWritten 13 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MarmaladeSandwichBristol, UK38 contributionsWe saw the advert for the free visit, for its 100 year anniversary. I've been several times before, over the years, but always see new things plus the gallery had big photos from Siam from 1880/ 1890s. Mr and Mrs Russell-Cotes were travellers and collectors, from many places in the world. There are many paintings of museum quality and by well known painters plus marble busts and other sculptures, including of Mr. W.H. Smith!Written 12 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- planegirl100Hampshire, UK431 contributionsWe last visited the head many years ago. Took the opportunity while on the way to our holiday to stop here. Parked easily in the car park by the cafe, 2hrs £5.50 via Ringo Go.
Walked the long way up to the top via Mudeford Beach. The steps are quite steep but the views are amazing!
The visitor centre is interesting and where you will find the toiletsWritten 31 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. All praise to the council for the effort they have made with the Christmas Tree Trail through these gardens. The lights and trees are beautiful. There is also an outdoor ice rink and we thoroughly enjoyed our walk through the gardens.Written 9 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David B6 contributionsThe oceanarium is a good rainy-day activity for Bournemouth - don’t get suckered in to buying a photograph as you’re waiting to get your tickets checked though! The exhibitions are really good, although it’s quite a small building and can be really claustrophobic at times. There’s also not many toilet or baby changing facilities, so be prepared to queue!Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JDWBexley, UK120 contributionsLovely clean, quiet, sandy beach at this time of the year. Clean Toilet facilities, well maintained.Written 3 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Paul M3 contributionsGreat shopping and an excellent Greek Taverna well worth a visit. We enjoyed the arcade and special shops. We returned in the evening to have a special meal in the Greek taverna. Food and service second to noneWritten 10 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Margaret BBedford, UK188 contributionsAmazing stretch of sandy beach from Hengisbury Head to Bournemouth. Very clean. Great for a walk, picnic or swim. Probably less crowded than Bournemouth beach in peak season.Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MOTO MATT34 contributionsFrom the beginning. Easy to find. Parking os easy two but very expensive, £19.80 juat for the evening (behind the building)
There is very little space to get the merchandise, I believe they would do well with putting another merchandise stand upstairs. Staff are very the polite and friendly. The Venue seemed clean. Pint of beer is expensive that seems to be the norm now and unfortunately comes in a cheap disposable plastic cup not the nicer reusable plastic cups that you see more and more. Seating is good with comfort, space and view. I've had a great time both times I've been but the acoustics aren't great.Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CHRISTOPHER WHessle, UK57 contributionsGood place for a winter stroll on a mild November day with Christmas trees already up along the pier. Nice views, and watching people promenarding and indulging in water sports and xip-wireing down from tower at end of pier passes the time nicelyWritten 13 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
