This is very much worth a visit. Also save time for shopping in the market. No pushy sales. Also some very nice shops offering wood craft items at exceptional prices. Sweet little town.

One of my problems with sites like this is getting there.

A lot of sites are far from main transportation areas and take hours to get there. Once you arrive? Crazy crowds and a wash of tourists kind of take the fun out of the whole experience.

This place is easy. Grab a local bus to town and walk less than a KM.

    Done.

The site itself has a great view and is well preserved. For me? It was well worth the effort.

Visited in late April in the early afternoon. The ruins are about an hour away from Morelia. We were the only ones at the ruins at the time. The staff working there were really friendly and helpful as well. One of the staff members acted as our personal tour guide and told us everything about the history of the ruins. They definitely aren't the most amazing or best ruins around, but they were pretty impressive to someone like me who had never seen any ruins.

We visited Senor Morales studio again.....we were there a few years ago. As expected, the assortment of ceramics was impressive. He is a fabulous ceramic artistic and well known throughout the Americas. As expected, we did purchase several items.
