If the steepness of the trail concerns you, you can park at Fisher Gap Overlook (milepost 49.4), cross Skyline Drive and walk down Rose River Fire Road approximately a mile to the bottom of Dark Hollow Falls Trail.
Even though the trail is short compared to others in the park, it changes elevation quickly and is intense, so be prepared!
