The check-in was quick and professional (someone comes to fetch you from the reception area on the ground floor to take you to the hotel on the 4th floor).
I loved my beautifully designed room that was kitted out with furniture and other items from design shops in this trendy suburb. It was especially impressed by the lamp shades from the Cape Town Society for the Blind. Most rooms have a kitchen and it was very convenient to have a Spar supermarket on the ground floor.
There are apartments on the other floors, which meant that the hotel had a more homey feel.Written 1 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - 316natalieCape Town, South Africa10 contributionsI recently visited Kelly John Gough in the very funky Woodstock exchange in Cape Town.
I was mesmerized by the artist work, large and small panels of wood with the most incredible images - nudes - capturing the beautiful human form and eyes that follow you around the room.
I highly recommend a visit to his Gallery.Written 20 February 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Carla ErasmusCape Town Central, South Africa1 contributionScotch & Sofa is definitely one of the most unique interior decoration shops I have ever seen in Cape Town. The creativity of each piece is incredible. The Pop Art is my personal favourite! The owner of the shop in Woodstock is extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend giving this shop a visit when you’re in Cape Town!Written 16 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Laura F38 contributionsThis small gallery displays the ceramic creations of local success story Andile Dyalvane, who started life in a small village tending livestock and now has award winning pottery on display from New York to Taiwan. His pieces are striking and have stories about them tied to his perspective on African life and culture, which the assistants are glad to share even if you are not a collector.Written 25 January 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
