When I am in Cape Town, I always make sure to be there on a saturday, so that I can visit the market in Woodstock. Its tradition to go for oysters and a glass of bubbly. Followed by lobster tails, or something korean, or something ethiopian. I love the market, the atmosphere there, and the people. This is one of my favorite places in South Africa.

Here in Cape Town we experience a booming craft-beer 🍻 revolution with many bars around the city stocking some of the country’s best craft beers that range from garage-set up brewery concoctions to full-on production line creations. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Woodstock Brewery is considered as one of the best craft beers in the Cape. It's situated in the heart ♥️ of a vibrant suburb sharing the same name, with trendy art galleries, organic restaurants mixed with a local laid back flair. 🤘The brewery gives visitors good insight into the brewing process and access to up to 10 different brews. 😱 Our purveyor of this golden nectar was super entertaining, so knowledgeable and passionate. Very persuasive into "forcing" us to taste so many beers. 😉😂 He even performed a magic trick pouring a filtered and unfiltered beer from the same bottle

I stayed at the Stockexchange Hotel (part of The Woodstock Exchange development) on a business trip for four nights and found it excellent value for money. The check-in was quick and professional (someone comes to fetch you from the reception area on the ground floor to take you to the hotel on the 4th floor).
I loved my beautifully designed room that was kitted out with furniture and other items from design shops in this trendy suburb. It was especially impressed by the lamp shades from the Cape Town Society for the Blind. Most rooms have a kitchen and it was very convenient to have a Spar supermarket on the ground floor.
There are apartments on the other floors, which meant that the hotel had a more homey feel.

I recently visited Kelly John Gough in the very funky Woodstock exchange in Cape Town.
I was mesmerized by the artist work, large and small panels of wood with the most incredible images - nudes - capturing the beautiful human form and eyes that follow you around the room.
I highly recommend a visit to his Gallery.

Gin seems to be the new drink of choice! We recently visited the Woodstock Gin Company in Cape Town, the decor and shop were very modern. The staff were very attentively offered our tasting options. Not being a connoisseur, I still thoroughly enjoyed hearing about how and what the different gins have been distilled and infused.

It was interesting to see the suggested food pairings were. We were in no way rushed thereafter to finish up nor did we feel any obligation to purchase any of the gin.

It was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. If you like gin, worth visiting! It's also in a great location if you want to browse quirky and boutique like shops.

I highly recommend visiting this studio for an aerial yoga experience. The space is warm and welcoming. The teachers and staff are excellent. In the past, I have had to stop certain exercises, due to my cervical spine issue, however since I started aerial I am building my strength with every class. The inversions are really great for decompressing the spine. The teachers encourage playfulness, which is a great way to de-stress.

Have attended these live drawing sessions for many years, and they're always very professional, with a welcoming environment from Anthony. Bianca is also a wonderful teacher who can teach many art mediums and to a variety of skills: from beginner to advanced.

This small gallery displays the ceramic creations of local success story Andile Dyalvane, who started life in a small village tending livestock and now has award winning pottery on display from New York to Taiwan. His pieces are striking and have stories about them tied to his perspective on African life and culture, which the assistants are glad to share even if you are not a collector.
