It was thanksgiving holiday, we got the last slot before it closes as it was fully booked, and it was very cold. But we enjoyed it. Couldn't stay there for long due to the wind.

A very nice collaborative arts building where multiple artists have set up their studios, allowing for a nice mix of both gallery and creative spaces. The artists themselves are also very welcoming, and we felt they were just happy to discuss and explain their artwork rather than a sales pitch. There was also an informative display about the mill's history, which we found very interesting and added to the experience. A must visit spot for anyone passing through Alton or staying at Millcroft Inn and Spa.

Currently this park is operating under pre-booked reservation system. So make sure to make a reservation before visiting. I visited this park on a weekday last week. The way to the park was amazing through the turns of the hill at Caledon. The park itself did not have much of fall colors. Due to covid, most areas are marked as single way but there were no one to restrict you to go the other way. With more traffic on weekends, it might be challenging.
The hike around the park is moderate. It might be difficult with very small kids as some areas are through the jungle and did not have proper road. Don't try to bring a stroller, it'll not work here.
The river rapid was fine. there are 2 bridges over it. The primary one is just at the entrance of the hike, beside the falls.
Expected lot of fall colors, going there in the peak season but somewhat disappointed. The drive was pretty amazing though. Make sure to go towards the Cheltenham badlands roads for another amazing drive through the colorful Caledon.

GoodLot is an oasis of a Brewing Co. It was love at first sight for me and it only got better as we explored, had a beer in the very special beer garden, listened to music, played games and bought some fantastic beer. The humans working there are exceptional and I loved the casual, friendly, inclusive and homey vibe. They were so kind to our dog and I think that says a lot about people! If you want a unique experience that really should be more of the norm in the world these days, go to GoodLot, get some truly tasty beer and settle in for an afternoon of awesome.

We come here specifically to drive the scenic, windy roads. The views are awesome, and if you get lucky, you can open it up a bit, lol. Usually, though, the traffic is heavy. Sigh.

A compact museum - one hangar with several airplanes, and one building with artifacts; you can see it all in an hour. What makes it great - volunteers who run it and are ready to share stories and even personal experience. If the weather's good, you may be lucky to see how they actually fly their planes.

It was our first time to come here for a fall hike and it was nice and scenic. Though the colours wasn’t that vibrant however the autumn feel is still there. It would be great if there is a safe viewing area close enough to the falls, for people to enjoy the sounds and sight of it’s beauty. Also, a safe access trail to the old train tracks high up across the falls would really make it a unique park to visit. Otherwise this park is highly recommended for families and nature lovers alike, just book a day permit ahead of time for easy check-in.

One thing that we always do every October specially during Thanksgiving and nearing Halloween is visiting Downeys Farm and market. This is one destination that is always in our activity for Fall specially because of their pumpkin display.

I discovered Plant Paradise Country Gardens last year. The gardens are outstanding, and Lorraine is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Visiting is like having a new friend who just happens to know everything that you want to know about plants and gardening. Highly recommended.

We met some friends for lunch and were very impressed with cider. As you have read it is much more than a cider with excellent bakery and farm store. We had lunch and enjoyed a fine meal with a tasty selection of choices and specials. All four of our party had good things to say about their meal. We also did some cider tasting and although cider is not my go to drink we had a 5 sample tasting that gave us a excellent range from dry to sweeter ciders. We would highly recommend. a stop here. Reservations would be wise for lunch.

We're regular hikers using the Black Loop Trail much as of late. There are hidden Nature jewels that suddenly appear occasionally. We're excited to share one of them that we barely noticed today.
Albion Hills Conservation Area could have a 5 star rating only if they would maintain their trails better for hikers. The grass is left to heights of 3 or 4 feet high at times not to mention fallen trees over trails left for weeks at a time. Unfortunately, a few ticks have been brought home which most likely would not have been had the trail grasses been kept short. Please do come to enjoy the beauty and, if you can, report any short comings to the friendly, caring staff at the gatehouse.

When my partner and I arrived, we were shown to our tent in the forest but this was no ordinary tent—this was a deluxe hotel room. It came complete with a wood stove and a plush bedding situation that kept the winter outside and romantic getaway inside. We were still under some travel restrictions, and my girlfriend and I were somewhat wary of travelling anyway, so this was the perfect vacation experience without really having to wander very far from the city. Would recommend (and we have) to friends looking for a great getaway in any season.
