The Whale trail is a feather in the cap of Cape Nature!
We had the priviledge to hike for 5 days through the most scenic part of the Overberg.
The briefing was professional, the huts were neat and well equipped, the matresses were in good condition, the showers were hot, trails were well kept and marked.
We could not have asked for more.

Unbelievably beautiful with diverse views, quite isolated so that you feel like you have the place to yourself. A nice combination of vlei, lagoon, sea and sand dunes.

The area has an absolutely beautiful rugged landscape. It is the southernmost point of Africa and the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian oceans. It’s a must see. There is also a lighthouse.

We love Kapula and think that you will too. The warehouse shop is full of stunning ceramics and candles, hand painted in the locality. We bought most of our family's birthday and Christmas presents here. This is a must-visit place if you're travelling in the Western Cape. Highly recommended.

We stopped here on route to Arniston and very glad we did. It is a charming museum, quite small and has some interesting stories and artefacts. Old world style exhibits but certainly worth a visit.

What a wonderful place for a couples or family gathering!
The owner and daughter had the sweet dogs roaming around. Lots of families. The food is incredible!

This charming stone church bears the stamp of Sophy Gray, wife of the first Bishop of Cape Town, who was responsible for drawing up plans for many of the Anglican churches found in the Cape.
Although the foundation stone was laid in 1859, the church was only consecrated in 1863. There have been few alterations/additions over the years, but the newer stonework ties in with the original, thus creating the impression of a unified structure.
The triple lancet fenestration of the chancel is interesting and the beautiul honey-coloured sandstone makes this church very appealing.

We went on the Nuwejaars Wetlands Frog Adventure. 13 of us met at Oystercatcher wine farm. After an informative introduction we set out to the wetlands to look for frogs.
We could hear that there were many, but they are not so easy to spot. We found a tiny micro frog - wonderful to inspect it from nearby.
It is great to see how passionately people can be about nature.
