We had the priviledge to hike for 5 days through the most scenic part of the Overberg.
The briefing was professional, the huts were neat and well equipped, the matresses were in good condition, the showers were hot, trails were well kept and marked.

We bought most of our family's birthday and Christmas presents here. This is a must-visit place if you're travelling in the Western Cape. The owner and daughter had the sweet dogs roaming around. Lots of families. Although the foundation stone was laid in 1859, the church was only consecrated in 1863. There have been few alterations/additions over the years, but the newer stonework ties in with the original, thus creating the impression of a unified structure.

After an informative introduction we set out to the wetlands to look for frogs.
We could hear that there were many, but they are not so easy to spot. We found a tiny micro frog - wonderful to inspect it from nearby.
