Enjoyed the food at the restaurant and the wine tasting. The cheese platter was delicious. My only suggestion is that management employ more staff during peak periods as there was only one person serving all guests at the wine tasting

The information centre was very helpful. The lady showed us all the different activities in the area and could give us valuable information an all those we were interested in. She really did give us some memorable experiences thanks to her recommendations.

This was such a little gem to find! It is a trip down memory lane and just as if time has stood still for the last 60 years. I would reccomend that everyone stop by to experience this little treasure.
I would have loved to have had someone who could have explained and taught us more about all the various things. We had so many questions but there was no one who we could ask.

What a little gem in the heart of Winterton. We really enjoyed our stroll around this quaint little museum, packed with local history and more. Do yourself a favour and pay a visit

I have visited the site December 2019. The Rock Art Centre is closed due to the aging of the facilities. But, if you are interested in San rock art, you can go to the real rock art sites from there. They offer 3 hours hikes, one day hikes, over night hikes, etc. Ask the experienced guide Wiseman Mdluli, +27 760894307 by WhatsApp. I have visited Mushroom Shelter rock art site with him. Very good guide.

Gustav is one of the best Berg guides around. Accommodating, experienced and beyond safe. We tackled Cathedral Peak in 12 hours which is an honest undertaking. The summit scramble used ropes and Gustav ensured we were safe and within our comfort zone at all times. I will definitely use Itchy Feet again.

I was apprehensive as I don't like captive animals but everything was explained and necessary and commentary was informative and really amusing. Dogs are an added extra :) A must visit for everyone!

What an amazing once in a lifetime experience. Warm reception, superb accommodation and breathtaking views of the Drakensberg Mountains and surrounding areas. The atmosphere was electrifying. Certainly a great idea for celebrating special events. Thank you Drakensberg Ballooning for unforgettable memories.❤️🔥🎈

What a great experience. The owners are friendly, helpful and accommodating.
We arrived without a booking when they were busy closing, but the owner still did us a favour by allowing our children a quick horseback ride.

Thanks for making our kids' day memorable.

I’ve done quad biking a few times in various countries and this was by far the best. Took the 2 hour tour that had some technical bits, some fast bits and loads of fantastic scenery. Thoroughly recommend you give it a go!

Sandra operates this living museum with a passion, not for money but to preserve a way of living for the next generation. Her shop/museum is something not to be missed in the area. Thanks for the friendly reception and informative chat.

I truly cannot emphasize enough how amazing Carlos is as both a guide and as a person. In preparation for our trip, Carlos was sent very detailed lists of the expected itinerary, items to pack, etc. Additionally, his email responses were extremely prompt and thorough.

Then, while on the trek, I had the utmost confidence in his guiding skills. The views along the the trek speak for themselves and are spectacular. He always prepared a delicious warm dinner after a long day of trekking, which was amazing.

On a personal note, he is genuinely just a wonderful person. He is very upbeat, kind, and a wonderful conversationalist. If you are going to Drakensberg for trekking, I recommend Carlos without any reservations.
