What travellers are saying
- laura_and_andrewNyack, NY53 contributionsThe museum is housed in the former town hall, uphill from the harbour. With money from a charitable foundation, the building was transformed into a small, informative museum that highlights not only the ancient settlement but also the proud shipbuilding and maritime achievements of Galixidi. The museum includes a display of artefacts from the ancient site of Delphi which can be seen across the bay.
If you are lucky, Mr. George Klanatis, who speaks excellent English, may be at the museum. His ancestral family hails from Galaxidi and he kindly volunteers some of his time to bring the exhibits to life with his explanations and stories. When we visited, we were the only patrons in the museum and Mr. Klanatis was there. It was special to have him show us around the museum.Written 19 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jo_and_TomAnna, OH2 049 contributionsGalaxadi was part of our tour to Mycenae, Corinth Canal, and a winery. Since it was March, there wasn't allot going on in the town. We were wandering about and saw this church which was open and we went in. It is very beautiful and worth stoppingWritten 4 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Deborah Anne F2 contributionsFantastic experience - we needed to get from Galaxidi to Athens. We initially looked at a rental car, also offered by the same company & found out we could take a taxi. Booked & communicated by What’s App. They found us & yacht, arrived early & made the entire process easy & stress free. Nice air conditioned SUV & lovely driver. This is a small family owned local company. They also offer day trips to local sights. Highly recommended.Written 18 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Warren T1 contributionThe Red Fox is an amazing catamaran. It's spacious and easy to walk around whilst sailing. It sleeps 10 so you could comfortably take 2 families out on it.
Kosta was a great captain, good with the kids, fantastic knowledge of the area. He took us to some beautiful, calm coves and beaches where we could jump off the boat and snorkel. He allowed the kids to 'skipper' the craft, hoisting the anchor, being helmsman etc etc.
Delicious fruit, drinks and snacks were provided although we had brought some of our own as well.
All in all a fantastic day out.Written 19 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We made the pie during the day, had lots of fun and got a certificate at the end. When we finished we were asked to come back in the evening to enjoy our pie and other Greek foods.
When we arrived back, with our husbands included, we were sat in the lovely garden and served our pie with mezes, Greek salad, and other things, plus drinks and cocktails. There was so much to eat, we did not have to go for dinner after. We were offered the rest of the pie to take back with us, which was great as we had a trip booked the next day and took it as a picnic.

- Alice H2 contributionsWe and our friends visited Galaxidi by sailboat and hired Kostas for 1 day tour of Delphi and the surrounding area (Arachova, Hosios Loukas). He took us to all the main sights. He took us to the beautiful museums and mountains. He really gave us a wonderful overview. An excellent professional, always available and willing to help. Also during the excursion we received important information from his daughter and our companion.Written 7 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
