The ranger advised us to park at the Gould Trail head, from where you can hike the last couple of hundred feet in altitude over a fairly easy stretch of the Appalachian Trail.

This was a great place for us with a toddler because you can drive right to the top and park then get out to enjoy the beautiful views.

The park was clean, walking/hiking path was a little rocky and hilly but definitely doable for an out of shape couple!

Lovely park - nice walk easy for a walk to the bridge - Very interesting lesson in geology, kids will enjoy it, lots of safely run off enery areas, picnic tables and rest room in the visitor center check it out...
The park is a nice well-tended respite from civilization, with signs that help recall the area's history as a mill town and marble quarry.
