- Caroline O1 contributionVolunteering at Cheetah Experience is one of the most incredible and rewarding experiences I’ve ever done. I have been there 3 times now and it definitely won’t be my last time returning there.
The staff is truly amazing! They are very professional, commited and the animals are always a first priority and come first. You can really see the people’s passion and dedication to give all the animals the best life possible. The tours that they offer are very educational and give people from all around the world an insight into animal conservation. The animals enclosures are big with a natural environment and are cleaned on a daily basis.
As a volunteer I got to meet other people from different countries and even build new friendships. During this time I learned so much about cheetahs and all other animals at Cheetah Experience.
I have never seen a better place where they treat animals with this much respect, take care of their health and well-being.
This is definitely a „must“ if you are visiting South Africa or want to contribute as a volunteer to a good cause.Written 5 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Great food and beer, interesting people.
Dirt road and animals, so you know...
Fabulous farm produce and home baked cookies and rusks!
Simple, unpretentious, interesting and delicious.Written 9 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We did not see any of the Big 5, but nonetheless we were happy with what we saw. Ingwe Camp is well run, with very friendly, helpful staff.
I personally wouldn’t take children under 8 to Ingwe. The units are in the bush with no flat areas for kids to play. Warthogs are in abundance so I wouldn’t allow kids to venture beyond the unit. There are, however, 2 swimming pools (one heated) and a large play area behind reception.
The loft units have a very steep incline access path so we requested a porter to carry our bags. Also note that the bathroom is on the ground floor and the bedroom in the loft. Trips to the toilet at night could be hazardous!
All in all we had a great time. Frans took us on an informative game drive where we saw giraffe, zebra and nyala.Written 28 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We booked the vehicle for a game drive as friends. Staff were friendly and provided a lot of interesting information during the ride. Even the 11 year olds listened attentively during the 2 hour ride.
The animals are very well cared for !!!Written 7 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It would be nice to see larger enclosures for the creatures that can not be rehabilitated.Written 2 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ChristiaenHaacht, Belgium91 contributionsFeracare Wildlife Centre is a great place in Bela Bela as a stopover. The accomodations are clean and spacious. Have your breakfast while enjoying the beautiful scenery of this place.
Feracare is one of the leading wildlife centres with the expertise in rehabilitating cheetahs and other wildlife back into the wild.
During your stay you can experience several activities such as feeding cheetahs, cheetah run and do a wildlife tour in the reserve.

A really pleasant place to stop off for a light lunch. The menu looked really good overall and we would be keen to go here for dinner next timeWritten 21 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Although it is an off grid bush camp there is no excuse for uncleaned braai pits and dirty and unservicable showers and toilets. When complaint was made showers and toilet site was put out of operation and told to use one about 50m away at tented site. Unfortunately these were just as dirty and not cleaned during our stay. Cut visit short by a day as depressing to sit in a beautiful bush location surrounded by braai ashes from previous users.Written 19 November 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
