- JLK2011Luxembourg City, Luxembourg841 contributionsEasy to take the shuttle from Le Gosier to the island. No bathroom on the island but lots of chickens. There is a café, we had slow service but the homemade coconut flan is worth any wait! Crystal clear water for snorkelling and shallow lagoon making it safe for children. Well worth the boat ride.Written 17 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- RalphlaurenManchester, UK33 contributionsVery beautiful beach with fine sand, the water was transparent, every day we bathed in this beautiful water.Written 9 February 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Tom ZPlacida, FL329 contributionsThe cab driver who took us from the cruise port told us we were going to Le Gosier Beach. It was part of the Resort Gosier, next to Hotel Fleur d’Epee. I could not find this exact beach location on TripAdvisor, but it is on the coast and part of the Plague de la Datcha (Datcha Beach) area. I think it may be around the point at the end of Datcha Beach. It took about 20 mins. by taxi from the cruise port to get here ($30US each way).
Very surprised about the road infrastructure on Guadeloupe. Much more developed than other Caribbean islands.
This is a small but really nice beach area with coconut palms for shade. Also, we found nice lounge chairs (free). I guess they are part of the hotel(s). There are a few hotels in this area. There is a beach bar/rest., but it is kinda pricey - part of the hotel - 5EU for a beer, and 20EU for a burger - Jeez!
But the beach and views of Point-A-Pitre are great, with boats passing by - like ferries and freighters coming in and out of the port.
We had a nice day here, very relaxing and the swimming was nice.
The cab driver basically let us off next to the hotel, and we walked down the road on the right to the beach. Kind of a hidden place, unless you stay at the hotels.Written 1 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Peter dBari, Italy78 contributionsa nice couple of professor manage this place, interesting view of tradition and story of ancient time in guadaloupe since the time of scaves. all detail show, in fabric, old and traditional dress, nice story about old time, photo and creative work for old interior in Guadaloupe. - Ron CMontreal, Canada16 contributionssmall but quaint. This is good to encourage the environment. All proceeds go to maintain the fish in the surrounding area.Written 19 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- RalphlaurenManchester, UK33 contributionsgood mix between the forest and the ocean, the trees offered us some very interesting shade for our sunburn.Written 9 February 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- tmoore48Westlake, OH481 contributionsWe visited as part of a tour while on a cruise. There is not much signage, so without a guide, you would miss much of the significance and history. The underground tunnels display what felt like rather random exhibits, including some protest art decrying the pollution of the ocean. Excellent views from the fort of much of the island. Not all of the paths are paved, some are cobblestone, and there is no access to the tunnels other than by stairs.Written 19 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

Many kids like this beach because of the swimming pool. It is free. they do great here near the pool.

- Robby G CToronto, Canada78Â 235 contributionsI was attracted to the huge tower on the church. It had also some paintings on the wall.
The steps to go to the church was red.
There were a few parking places.
The cross was at the top.
This is very attractive!

- Robby G CToronto, Canada78Â 235 contributionsWe were attracted by a marriage in front of the Hotel de Ville, Le Gosier.
They had the colors of light brown and white.
The Hotel de ville was quite huge!
As they are part of France, they had also the symbols of Free, Equal and Fraternity.
I liked that Hotel de Ville.Written 7 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
