What travellers are saying
- Barbs GStockport, UK260 contributionsIf like my husband you struggle on hills then this place is ideal, a beautiful clean long promonade. Not all built up like some of the Costa de Sol, restaurants dotted here and there and some shope, even an open air church It is very clean and the beach is kept immaculate. Visited mainly by the Spanish, it is rrally a good location for a break.Written 6 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jrls1943111 contributionsJust a very pleasant area to relax and enjoy. Good variety of restaurants and bars. Things tend to run down at the end of September/October.Written 23 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - poochiieOria, Spain101 contributionsA nice aquarium, if a little small. It does not take long to see everything there, but it is interesting and informative anyway. I would have said that the entry price is a bit high for the size of it until you read Juan the turtle's story and see how they use the money. Overall it was enjoyable but I wouldn't hurry back.Written 14 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jacqueline c8 contributionsA busy market of fresh produce and fashion clothes mixed with holiday tat. It will take you around 30 to 40 minutes to walk down the 2 avenues. It's very hot with no shelter. There are limited stalls selling cold drinks and water and the usual cheap fast food. It's a short walk from the nearest bus stops and the Grand Plaza shopping centre where you can get some respite from the heat. Nothing authentic to buy.Written 9 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Paul G WSpain138 contributionsWe stayed in the Moon & Spa Hotel which is inside the port area so we had views over the port from the terrace of the hotel.
This port is very nicely done, you can get free parking for 30 minutes before you have to pay.
There are plenty of bars and restaurants within the port and a small night market.
We went on a boat trip which leaves from inside the port and also there are many more activities available if you wish, scuba diving, jet skiing etc.Written 16 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was bullfighting season, and although we didn’t actually see a real live fight, the place was awesome, with a small museum too showing all the Matadors fantastic outfits.
Worth a visit.
Later the same week we stumbled across live tv coverage of same bullring with bullfighting going on (only watched one as quite bloody, but heho, its Spanish tradition)Written 24 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Very small place, entry itself is free and you buy a card for €1, then load up the card with the amount you want. instead of Euros, they use their own "currency", with 1 Euro = 1 "Castor". The rides range from €1 (for the ones that just move on the spot) to €3.50 for the steam train ride, €4 for the bumper cars etc.Written 3 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - dnowland_12Leeds, UK4 368 contributionsThis beach or playa here in Roquetas de Mar is situated just after the small puerto and runs for quite a long way towards Aguadulce. There are several tapas bars and restaurants behind the beach on a promenade that is nice to walk along.
The beach is clean with nice sand, ideal for families with children.Written 8 May 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - trampoline01Gloucestershire, UK33 contributionsThe promenade, cycle and walking paths finish right at the entrance to the park. It's has lovely tracks to run or walk around and some attractions to have a stop and look at in the middle. If you like to walk or run, is a nice alternative to the road/promenade.Written 20 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
