Podere Il Casale

Incredible people, incredible food, incredible view - a must-visit in Tuscany!
One of our best meals in Italy took place on a gorgeous hilltop with spectacular views overlooking the valley at this picturesque organic farm just outside of Pienza.

Piazza Pio II
#3 of 25 Sights & Landmarks in Pienza
This is the heart of the town of Pienza with some great views of architecture and views of the Tuscan hillside (just behind the Pienza Cathedral).
Pienze is a beautiful unspoiled Unesco Heritage site and is well worth a visit.

Palazzo Piccolomini
#5 of 25 Sights & Landmarks in Pienza
A monument to Pius II's magnificent ego, it also has an austere elegance that leaves the visitor imagining they might actually be able to live there...The view from the second floor loggia is stunning as well.
Interesting family history including a couple of Popes, great views of Tuscan landscapes from balconies and gardens.

Monticchiello

Small, authentic and beautiful little gem, offering stunning views, amazing food and great wine.
Quaint little town with a wall around it, with a commanding view of the quintessential Tuscan hills all around.

Corso il Rossellino
#7 of 25 Sights & Landmarks in Pienza
... basis in a small Italian town.. But, then again, why stay in the corso when you can walk on the great veranda a "block" away that allows you to take in the magnificent views of Monte Amiata and the Val D'Orcia?
There are shops on both sides of the street and many bars to linger at, some with a rear area with a view of the Val d'Orcia.

Cappella della Madonna di Vitaleta San Quirico d'Orcia 3.5 km away
#1 of 9 Sights & Landmarks in San Quirico d'Orcia
Excellent scenery and beautiful views of the chapel.
Madonna di Vitaleta chapel would be one of the highlights, small abandoned (looks like?) chapel on top of a hill, lovely view from SR2, but when we made the detour and saw it up close, very much more beautiful.
Val d'Orcia Tuscany, Italy 4.2 km away
#13 of 2 628 Sights & Landmarks in Tuscany
The valley deserves at least a week of stay and the best bet will be some agroturismo, as these are located outside of towns and allow you to actually "breath" the sunset/sunrise views from terrace while enjoying...
We drive through small villages and numerous view points and must to say it's one of the beautiful area in Italy.

The main church at the end of this street (Collegiata) is exceptionally beautiful and stands at a wonderful site, in particular at sunset.

This place is really a Hidden Gem, with wonderful Tuscan views.
My daughters who are quite young enjoyed a new experience and was amazing to watch the stars and also the view of Rocca d´Orcia (a neighbour town) from the swimming pool.
