The park is awesome and the hike was perfect. A little rain, but got to the top and down before the heavy rain.

This trail is definitely difficult, but absolutely worth it. Many times on the climb I questioned my sanity but once at the top, the view was amazing. do not do this hike without proper shoes and be sure you have water with you.

Staff were the best, they were friendly and helpful all the time especially Rebecca and Jeremy ( he has dad jokes!). The snorkeling was so much fun and we were lucky enough to see dolphins. A great day out.

This was a proper hike without the crowds - at least in the morning. If you go early it is far easier as you have already ascended a bit once it begins to get hot around mid-morning (9am say).

It is refreshingly windy at the top and the vantage point is just remarkable.

Difficult hike to get down to the rocky area to see the caves and rocks. If in good shape - worth the experience.

This hike isn’t for the faint of heart! Lol it’s very challenging and sometimes dangerous but worth it in the end when you get to the waterfalls and the views. Definitely worth it. 👍🏼

Very chill and nice trail. paid 7 dollars for parking. when reach the waterfall, although it said do not go into the water, people still did. Kind of fun. They went under the waterfall. I can tell it is very very cold there. Haha. Nice tropical trail near the airport.

Beautiful area, but you must respect the ocean and cliffs. It’s easy to see how people die there. While visiting with my daughters just two days ago, there was a local man warning people to stay out of the water at the bottom of the stairway/path. Just looking at the waves, it was obvious to me nobody should be jumping in. We arrived at the point in time that 3 other local men decided two idiots in the water wouldn’t make it out without help. We witnessed them spending about 40 minutes in the water saving the two, while also warning people on the cliffs/rocks to get away so they weren’t smashed against rock or swept off the ledges. One man rescued had deep lacerations on his feet and other scrapes/cut all along his legs from the rocks.

Bottom line-if you visit and don’t listen to the locals or just use common sense looking at the waves-you may not make it out of they don’t show up to save you.

Adventures hike to Lulumahu waterfall with a lot obstacles on the way there. We did in heavy rain and it was great experience to hike up on slippery rocks and muddy path to the waterfall. Pay attention to the pink ribbon which marks the right path to Lulumahu.

We enjoyed this hike, it was a good moderate level hike. Very muddy and you end up walking through the water a few times to get to the falls at the end. It takes a good 75 minutes plus to make it to the falls with the mud, the walk up, and all the tree roots you had to navigate through. If it had just rained, I don't know if we would have done it or continued on. It was dry for a few days so we decided to go and it was still muddy, so we knew if it had rained there def could be some issues with deeper standing water and mud spots that would cover your entire shoe up your leg! All in all, good hike, def recommend it, and bring water! We did bring bug spray and used it, had no issues with bugs at all, not sure if it was the bug spray or not, but we had zero issues with bugs. Good luck and enjoy!

Erik was a great instructor and very personable. He was definitely meant for this. It was a little scary descending for the first time not knowing how I should be feeling as I went down. Once I figured out how to properly clear my ears to relieve pressure, it was all positive moving forward. Such an amazing experience being able to dive to the ocean floor and scan the coral for beautiful creatures. Once you get comfortable down there, you only wish you had more time. So peaceful. Definitely makes me want to get certified and look to scuba dive on future trips. Having Erik made me feel like I had a watchful guardian making sure I was ok and feeling comfortable every step of the way. He even took pictures for us. Would 100% def recommend. Probably the best “excursion” I’ve been on in two different trips here to Hawaii.

We had a great time at our lesson! The instructor was very experienced, knowledgeable and friendly! We could both successfully catch a wave and stand up on the board by the end of the lesson. Thanks!!

This was our first experience scuba diving and Reef Pirates Diving made the whole experience so easy and fun, next time I plan on getting my certification so I can do the deep diving!

The short 10-15 min ride to/from the turtle snorkeling spot was quite smooth (at 7:30 in the morning) but I was especially thankful how smooth it was on our return as I was feeling a bit seasick. The crew quickly got a cold Sprite for me which really helped (as well as looking at the skyline). The crew was wonderful, each and everyone of them made sure we were okay whether or not we were swimmers. Nate, the captain, mentioned they had more crew members than other companies, to help customers. In the case of my young adult daughters, one only used her own swimming goggles as she was most comfortable with those; while my other one was a bit anxious even though an experienced snorkeler. The crew made sure they were both okay, even with a boat load of people. I think my daughters had the most fun and were most relaxed on this snorkeling excursion than any of the others we've been on in Maui and Kauai. Not because of the fish (there's more variety at the other islands) but because of the crew members. Instructions were very clear. Equipment was plentiful. Having a fresh water hose to rinse off afterwards was fantastic. The water was clear, the turtles kept coming up between all of us for air so we saw them up-close and personal (well, from 6' away); and there were a LOT of fish. We gave them a tip even though it wasn't required. We would definitely go with them again.
