What travellers are saying
- Maria ARAMONA18 contributionsI enjoyed the visit to Georgia O'Keefe Museum. It is a well curated sampling of her various stages as an artists. Lots of her landscapes and famous flowers are displayed. This is a very popular attraction and reservations are required. The gift shop has affordable souvenirs, including nice prints, greeting cards and books. Friendly, helpful staff at entrance and throughout the museum and gift shop.Written 12 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Susan HTacoma, WA2 338 contributionsSpent an afternoon here exploring the shops and having lunch (I highly recommend the Thunderbird Restaurant. It was excellent!) This area of town is a great place to visit and see where Santa Fe began. So much history! Loved the place, but parking can be really challenging! We tried to visit on a Saturday and gave up! Came back Monday and found parking; although not everything was open including the museums and Governor’s House.Written 7 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- sc52017Red Oak, TX88 contributionsCanyon Road is a fun place to spend an afternoon going through the galleries and shops. You'll find some really cool and fun objects as well as great art.Written 13 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- AdamPhoenix, AZ5 contributionsI really didn’t know what to expect when visiting the opera house but let me tell you that it was amazing. I have only been to one other opera house in my life but this was an eye opener. Beautiful venue and great atmosphere which I enjoyed a lot. The Opera house should definitely be on your travelers list when visiting Santa Fe.Written 13 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Maria ARAMONA18 contributionsEnjoyed our visit to The beautiful Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi. Also attended Mass there during our visit. Very welcoming to visitors as the priest asked how many attending were tourists (and its was most of the congregation).Written 12 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BeckibeckaAurora, CO429 contributionsI had been avoiding Meow Wolf because I didn't understand what it was and thought it was overpriced. I was very wrong. Just go! This place is amazing. I wish we had spent way more time and followed the story more, but we didn't have the time.
Go when they open! It gets crowded quickly.
We'll be visiting the Denver location next.Written 8 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Di JPittsburg, CA185 contributionsUnique and interesting. Definitely broaden your perspective on world art and culture. My son (3yo) had a good time too as folk art tends to be descriptive of life. He also had a blast working on the treasure hunt.Written 11 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jennifer HColumbus, OH502 contributionsWe didn’t stay long, but this building has a lot of art throughout. It’s very different from any other capitol building I have been to. Very modern.Written 26 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- yes2travelDelray Beach, FL266 contributionsSpent 1/2 a day touring through the main buildings. The docents were knowledgable and provided excellent overviews on how life used to be for the early people living here. (The man sharing information on how tin was formed into tools even gave us a complimentary pair of tin earrings he created!) The day we arrived was very rainy and so we did not walk to the back acreage areas since that was entirely open air and with no docents present. At one point lightening was spotted in the general area and we were all asked to shelter in place for 30 minutes. At that point we were in the chapel building with docent Jerry. WOW! Lucky us!! Not only did Jerry have a hugely extensive knowledge base of the historical, but he was a gifted story teller. It was captivating to listen to him. Even when the shelter in place ended we remained another 5 minutes with Jerry just to hear his story to the finish line.
This is a very nicely privately run historical site and certainly worth a few hours of your time to visit.Written 3 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - bigthicket520 contributionsFinding parking on a Sunday was a little difficult but finally we found a place in the parking lot for St. Francis Cathedral. We parked on the Almeda St. side but there was no parking attendant there so it took us awhile to find one. I’m so glad we stopped here because it’s something my husband has always wanted to see. There’s a $5 admission charge or $4 for those over 65. My husband knew the whole story of the staircase so he was my tour guide while we were there. It’s a beautiful church and knowing now the story of the staircase makes it even more exquisite. The gift shop was nice to go to as well and all the staff were friendly and helpful. My only suggestion would be to go on weekday when it wouldn’t be so hard to find a parking spot if this is all you want to see.Written 14 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BillWaconia51 contributionsDid a half day afternoon of some great Spring skiing. Easy in and out, great rental folks, well-maintained runs.Written 6 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Maria ARAMONA18 contributionsEnjoyed a visit to this special museum! So many beautiful artifacts and items to view. Highly recommend a visit.Written 12 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Joan JSharon, MA183 contributionsWhat fun it is to talk to the artists about how they make each piece of jewelry, pottery, etc and the booths include many types of art. Stop by more than once if you are in town for a few days as the vendors change! It’s hard to not want to walk away with a lot of different items!Written 15 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MemoryMaker5Ohio646 contributionsWe didn't get to go inside, because it was not yet open for the day. But, it was special to just see it from the outside! It's walking distance to a lot of shops, the Oldest House, and downtown space.Written 1 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Susan HTacoma, WA2 338 contributionsThe picture on this site shows lots of outdoor tents and booths. This is not what we found in April. There were about 5 tents outside selling items and the rest was inside. The prices were a bit high, but I did buy some fresh spices, fresh bread, and dried beans. Lots of eggs and other produce for sale as well. I enjoy wandering farmer’s markets even if I don’t buy much!Written 7 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
