Laila, the owner of the place, was great and had a good sense of humor. - David BToronto, Canada405 contributionsHad a brief stop here on our ship and I took advantage to climb some of the many well marked hiking trails up to about 450 metres. There are lots of trails, well worn and marked, also a number of sign posts and a couple posted maps. However, it was a bit tricky for me remembering and sorting out the Norwegian names, so I found apps like Alltrails and Mapme to be a help. There are enough trails you can take one of several loops and avoid retracing your steps too. Its also located right next to be the best art gallery in the area that also holds a very interesting sculpture garden, highly recomanded. Saying that, it’s a nice place where lots of buildings are painted, mainly in blue.
The church is lovely, only a 10 minute walk from the docks.
The organ was playing when we visited, beautiful.

Unfortunately there wasn’t a plaque telling the history of the statue
