This was a beautiful experience! We were fortunate to see a glass demo while we were there. The pictures simply can’t do justice to the beauty of the art. Definitely encourage a visit!
If in Seattle then you have to go! Lots to see & loads to eat if your hungry as lots of stalls offering sweet/savoury & everything in between, if you can take it visit the gum wall to its vast & kinda 🤢 but something to behold & also see the guys throwing the salmon if they get a sale & tip. Nice place to mosey around & soak up the Seattle vibe
Pike Place Fish Market is an ideal place to get some fresh fish. There is plenty to choose from. It's a lot of fun wandering around and enjoying the spectacle. Some of the cooked fish is really good but some may not be as good, so care is needed when choosing!
This is a nice shopping mall with a choice of established brands as well as some local brands. There are some good restaurants also located in the vicinity of the mall. The only negative thing is the parking. Even at 11 AM in the morning, virtually the entire parking lot was full
Enjoyed a Sunday morning visit to the market. Was impressed by the variety of products and the food booths, one of the oldest and largest markets in Seattle.
Absolutely loved this place and the quality of the food was excellent. They had something that I have been searching for a long time - Maritozzo. It was pricey but worth the experience. Also had their lasagne which was brilliant.
The place is quite large and spacious. They have this board that reminded me of the notice boards that you used to find at airports and railway stations; before they introduced digital screens to inform passengers of their flights and trains.
Every now and then the board would "crackle" , (can't think of anyway else to describe it), into life and all the characters would start flipping and a new message would show up. This sound bought back so many nostalgic travel memories of being at airports and railway stations that once had these boards. Ok. Ok. I know its showing my age, but it was such a great touch.
Hats off to the designers who put this board in place.
This a premium Starbucks and it everything about it is premium and worth a visit.
Visited and shopped here twice during our stay in Seattle. Mostly high end shops but you can get a bargain. Toilets and restaurant on the fourth floor, toilets were very clean.
When I was a kid growing up in Seattle I used to take the bus downtown just to go to the store. It had the most interesting things I thought as a kid. it's always been touristy but they have a lot of interesting curios that aren't actually for sale. Sylvester The Mummy was always my favorite and is the main draw for this tourist attraction. it's worth a trip down the hill from The Pike Place Market which is a must do if you're in Seattle. Especially on a sunny day. It's a 15 minute walk or a sharp cab ride from The Pike Place Market. You can start your walk along the Waterfront Northbound from here and see all kinds of of cool stuff
Nordstrom rack consists of many brand names that offer shoes, clothes, and accessories. All are cheap and cute clothes , clothes can be found for all ages for teenagers to elders. Always good finds here. Only issue was dressing room. There was many dressing rooms , but left to be operated by customers, each room had clothes left form previous users.
This may well be the most exceptional gallery I've been to in a while. Of all the indigenous galleries in Seattle that I've visited, this one had a combination of the biggest collection and the most interesting and thoughtful art. The artwork is stunning, and I cannot stress enough how worth a walk this place is, no matter where you manage to find parking.
This 4 or 5 story shopping center/mall was clean but quiet on this Tuesday evening. The number of floors depends on how one counts the basement and a topmost section that appears to connect to a movie theatre. A wide variety of shops featured, jewelry, luggage, clothing and more. There were several restaurants of various types. There were several long tables where people could create their own laptop work station. The escalators were in good order. The high atrium design was accentuated by today's bright sun light. Several large murals were featured. Overall it had a pleasant but slightly haunted atmosphere.
It was nearly the end of our visit to Pike Place Market, and I wanted to buy some "Rainier" cherries to take back to our hotel room for snacking. A saleslady at Saragraphics T-shirt booth recommended Sosio's for the best cherries. We had no trouble finding "Sosio's" and after a sample, we bought a pound for $10. The price was high, but the cherries were excellent.
