- Brenda K28 contributionsThey continue to improve this experience. We remember when there really wasn't anything at the top. Now there is a gift shop, restaurant, and wonderful places to relax and enjoy the view.
The bridge is a rush. If you aren't game for that, there is an easy trail to bypass it and get to the other side.
We enjoy buying the all-day pass so that we can enjoy it during the day and again after dark. This is a little pricey, but one of our favorites. Buy the picture!Written 30 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We love the gondola ride, the beautiful gardens, and the tree walk. This is definitely one of the must-do tourist attractions in the Gatlinburg area. One small thing I loved was the addition of padding to the gondola seats.
However, there are a few things I don’t like. I cannot stand the refund policy. Bad weather? No refund, but an option to use the tickets within the next 365 days. This is not good enough for those of us who might not be back within a year. Look at Ober for an example of a better policy. This trip we had rude service from the cashier in the ticket line and the guy taking photos at the top of the ride. Neither one said a single word to us. I pre-purchased my tickets through ticket master so it shouldn’t have been a hassle for the cashier. The guy taking photos didn’t even look up, just pressed the camera when we were close. He was too busy playing on his phone. It was in the 30-40’s today with occasional rain and snow, but they had all of the heaters off and only one fire pit opened.Written 19 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We visited several sites within the park and stopped at multiple visitors centers to learn about the history of the area. The hiking trails are well maintained & marked. The historic sites are wonderfully preserved & encourage visitors to reflect and learn. The Park Rangers are helpful & informative. My kids had such a great experience reviewing & discussing their Junior Ranger guides for their badge and gained some bonus knowledge in the process. Overall this was an educational, interesting, and fun trip for our family.Written 13 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ana C3 contributionsOnly went to Snow Tubing on Thanksgiving break. Lines were long and because of the cold, people would slide farther and some hit the security wall. Because of that they had to put extra, extra, extra break rugs which took about 30 minutes of our allotted time up there. We waited for a long time in the cold but really enjoyed the activity. We could only go 3 times because our time went up even though half of that time was used to take extra security measures... It is fake snow but still snow! Ice or whatever they use, it will be very cold. If no accidents had happened, we could have enjoyed more time to go over and over again. It was really fun. The rest of the activities were really packed. We were able to get to the top of the mountain by car which we recommend 100% instead of taking the lifts...Written 1 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
