The glideport between La Jolla and Del Mar is maybe my favorite place on earth. You have RC Gliders flying their planes on one end and Paragliders and Ultra-Light aircraft on the other end of this high field overlooking the ocean at Black Beach the only clothing optional beach in the San Diego area. Wow what a fun place. Do Not miss this !!

You have to hike down to get to the beach, but it is definitely worth it. About 10 minute hike down and probably 20 minutes to get back up. It’s steep, but there are steps for most of the way. The beach is gorgeous.

We had a fun time at Belmont park at sunset! Beautiful views on the beach, with restaurants (the beachfront one closed at sunset), stores, games, etc. We rode the Big Dipper, a classic wooden roller coaster that was fun but pretty jarring. We had pizza from a midway spot, and our daughter enjoyed a "Dog on a Stick" which I guess has been around since the 40's!

For simple thrill seekers - take a minute to visit the suspension bridge and cross back and forth. Fun visit.

It's a nice hike length, bring lots of water in the summer. It is a busy trail so if you aren't okay with that you might want to go at an "off time". It doesn't have much shale so you don't slide a lot which is nice.

Our guide, Scott, was knowledgeable, easy-going and lots of fun to ride along the Pacific Coast with. We loved exploring the ecological preserve, seeing sea lions and harbor seals, and getting to watch and learn about surfing. I highly recommend this tour. Bikes are easy to ride too!

Mark is an amazing Captain. He took care of our group of 4, ensuring we got plenty of fish. Enough to feed us for 3 days! Mark took care of everything from setting up our rods to baiting our hooks and filleting our fish. There was never a dull conversation with him. It is clear this is his passion and he is the first Captain I’ve had that wants his clients to actually catch fish.

We had a great time! Jeff was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and fun. He went at our pace which was great. He also picked us up at our hotel so we had a bit of a tour of San Diego too.

Just did a SCUBA refresher with these guys. Cole taught the class in South Mission. I haven’t dived in many years so needed to get back to theory and hands on skills, especially safety. The class was the most comprehensive refresher I have taken! Cole did a great job getting me back in the water again. I highly recommend this course!

    Baja Border Tours

I have a quite a story - a beautiful one - to share here. I was in San Diego to attend a conference and I really really wanted to go to Mexico. I love to travel and explore. On top of it, I have learnt to read, write and speak Spanish. I love their art & culture. I called Baja border tours for a trip to Mexico. West and his wife spoke to me and said they were fully booked. I was disappointed and asked them to help me visit Mexico. West made a few calls and found a taxi driver to take me from the border and show me around. West made sure that I got the pictures of the driver and his car license plate. And when I was at the border West called me, confirmed I was with the right driver and then only let me get in the car. Can you believe that a stranger can be so kind? West is an extremely sweet person. He is sweet because he is very kind and caring. His wife is too. The Taxi driver showed me the wall, then took me to Rosarito and stopped the car on the road side. After a couple of mins I asked him why he is stopping and he said, “that guy is coming”. I didn’t know what or who he meant. I thought perhaps he is waiting for someone to give him some food or something. Then a tall and good looking man shows up and opens my side of the car door. I wasn’t sure who he was, but he had a pleasant smile and a good face, I mean a face that has some radiance. He introduced himself but I couldn’t hear him due to the traffic noises. I was not comfortable and finally asked who he was. He said, “I’m West”. I felt pleasantly surprised and happy. He took me to this restaurant where all this tourists are waiting for me. They told me how much West had been trying since morning to get me across the border and to arrange this tour for me. I felt very emotional. He gave me the wine taste tour and the best tortilla. He made a video call to his wife and she said hello to me. They were so kind to this poor Indian girl that I broke into tears. Then I took some pics with West’s tourists who were very nice people too. After that West gave instructions to the taxi driver about the view points that he has to show me. When I was leaving from there, I tried to give some tip to West and he didn’t accept it. He was just being a good human and was helping me selflessly. He told me he will let his friend take care of me in Ensenada who would give me a Tequila tour and show me around. This was all hard to believe for me. Are there this good people? Wow! Yes! I have learnt that only after I met West. The taxi driver stopped at beautiful places and then dropped me in Ensenada (at my hotel) and said I can reach out to him if I need any help. West also suggested the best & safe hotels to take. Then after a coupla hours, his friend Sebastian called me. West checked with me if he could share my number with his friend before sharing my number. He also gave me description of his friend’s hair color, ethnicity etc. Sebastian is a business man who owns a couple of Tequila stores there. He told me how Tequila is made, distilled, stored etc. Then he gave me some to taste. After that he showed the famous places around the area and told me the history of the place. West was checking with me throughout my trip and made sure I was safe. He was traveling to Columbia as his mom was not well but he still took out time for this stranger, a poor Indian girl, and made sure I was okay until I crossed back the border. I am grateful to West and I want to take his wife & him to India. I hope that day comes soon.
I strongly recommend you take Baja Border Tours. East or West, West is the best. I mean Baja Border Tours is the best.

My fiancé and I took our bachelorette/bachelor party for a sunset sail and I’m so glad we did. It was everyone’s favorite part of our weekend trip. Highly recommend!
