The beach is wide and the ‘boardwalk’ very well traveled even in the off February offseason. There are many bars, a few restaurants, and other beach stores. It’s a lovely walk if that’s all that you want.

Love this beach, not crowded at all. We stayed at Pacific Terrace Hotel right on the boardwalk and beach. We'll be going back there again. The beach was beautiful, clean and water was reasonably warm at 69 degrees. A fair amount of people walking, jogging, and riding bikes. Felt totally safe the whole time we were there, only a few homeless people around but very non threatening. There are a good amount of places to eat within a half mile walking distance.

Great beach for walking, relaxing and people watching. Lots of shops and restaurants near by. Also saw lots of surfers.

Sat on roof top for dinner. Heaters on made it lovely. Good service all night. Fried pickles app is so good (love the spicy ranch). Italian flatbread was really good as was the 3 cheese Mac & cheese. Salmon was good too. Also had Chris for dessert. Just yum.

What a beautiful clean beach and promenade. We have been here six days and love it. The beach is clean, non smoking, non drinking and no loud music so everyone can have fun. The surfers and swimmers all mix well. The walk on the beach from top to bottom is about 2.5 miles of uninterrupted beach. The pier is great, there are a few shops and a couple of restaurants. It’s relaxing and great for people watching.

I love this park. We took a friend's dog here and the view was incredible. Cute dogs with a city and water views. I wish I lived closer. I'd go here all the time!

We visited a few times in June 2018 with a couple of toddlers during our visit to San Diego. The park area and nearby beach/sand shores were filled with families.

It was a 3 minute walk from our condo at Fanuel and Pacific Beach Drive!

The park has a bit of grass, along with the play structure which has sand flooring. It’s suitable for toddlers and kids up to ~7 to 8 years. There are a couple of slides and some swings-both open seat and toddler safety swings. The play structure is physically separated from the beach area and water- which is 20 steps away. The park is on the bay side, so it’s calm water as opposed to the beach which faces the pacific (and has surfing).

A great place to give your kids the option of beach or playground.

There are outdoor showers and individual bathrooms, which are relatively clean. And yes, a few homeless frequented the park and bathroom facilities in the days we visited, but there were no negative interactions.

The park leads to the concrete walkway which extends along the beach out west towards the homes and resorts.

There are a few Bird scooters parked nearby, so you can grab one and go for a ride once you activate it on your cell.

Nice family park that faces Mission Bay. It has a nice grassy area, restrooms, bike and walking paths - perfect for a nice family getaway. Ample parking but go early as it can get crowded especially during weekends in the summer.

It’s nice to have a fenced in park with a bit of grass and shade. The small (30lb. $ under ) side is nicer and I hope the city fixes up the big side and finally opens more to take the pressure off this one. There are hundreds of users a day and it gets a lot of wear and tear.

This was so fun!! JT was an awesome instructor and really good with our kids, aged 6 and 8. We learned a lot of new techniques and enjoyed the whole afternoon. This was the same price for our family of 4 than tickets to the zoo and we felt it was a better value - it kept us all engaged for a half a day and was something really unique.

This wine tour was a hugely enjoyable day out from San Diego to Baja for our group of 5 friends. Joaquin was entertaining and helpful - he even kindly changed up one of the wineries on the day when we explained what sort of wine our group members enjoyed. The trip down the coast and across to the Valle de Guadalupe was an eye opener to the beautiful & varied aspects of the area and each of the wineries was unique and memorable. Great friendly service and wines at Vina de Liceaga, Chateau Camou, Cava Maciel. The food at Finca Altozana was fresh and incredible - let Joachim order for you!
Thanks again to Baja Winery Tours & the places we visited.

We had a great first visit! Our group of 4 (Ages 43 to 13) had 2 Escape Room experienced players and 2 newbies and we all had a blast with The Diner. We didn't quite make the escape, it was very challenging and we were so SO close, but even with the near miss, we had a fantastic time. Our game master walked us through the rest of the puzzle before we left and was so nice. I could see we probably would have needed an extra 10 minutes to finish up even after the 3 bonus minutes he gave us once our timer ran out!

Parking there can be a challenge so give yourself some time to get a decent spot. There are lockers there to stow your gear. They even have a cute little sign that has a We Escaped notice on one side and We (almost) escaped! on the other. They'll offer to take your photo with it for that cool little keepsake memento as there are no cameras allowed inside the escape rooms.

We will definitely be coming back for our next great adventure and now that we all know what to expect will be bringing our A game with us! Thanks guys!

I was traveling to San Diego and was determined to try surfing. San Diego Surf Company came up on my search and I booked immediately. Their website is easy to navigate and they reached out to me several days before my arrival and the day of my lesson via email and text. As far as I know they only have two locations one on Mission Beach and one on Pacific Beach. I chose a private lesson on Pacific Beach. I arrived at the beach and was greeted by several instructors who helped me get suited up and ready for my lesson. My instructor was amazing, he spent time on the beach and in the water reassuring me and being very patient. I had to do some adapting for an old injury and he was able to help me get up and surf within the hour. I count this day as one of the Best Days Ever! There is nothing like hanging on the waves while enjoying the most amazing views of the CA coast. I would highly recommend the San Diego Surf Company!!!
