The staff is nowhere near as polite as Legoland or the safari park but that is pretty hard to compete with. I did run into a few very nice people still but several staff members seemed like they would rather not be working there or were actually complaining about fellow staff or even customers. I found almost everything to be overpriced but kind of expected it to be this way. I enjoyed the hard cider and Starbucks immensely! We liked the spinning viewing tower ride (except for the additional cost), the water raft ride and ESPECIALLY loved the sea lion and orca shows!!!! The dolphin experience was basically standing in a crowd watching a bunch of people who paid to swim with the dolphins so maybe there is a better dolphin show that is offered at another time of the week. We came on a Thursday so there is probably more options for the weekend. We enjoyed having less people and less crowds to contend with. All in all it was still pretty enjoyable and worth a visit.

Visited the park with friends while visiting San Diego. I, later on, had an opportunity to ride my bike along the pacific beach from La Jolla all the way to Mission Bay. It was both relaxing and exciting with so much to see along the way. I met lots of cyclists and friendly people along the way.

I live in Los Angeles;and have two small terriers. I love San Diego as a weekend getaway, and so do my little guys. Fiesta Island, a lovely little island in the middle of Mission Bay is an awesome dog resort. There is a vast ipen area for dogs to run and play; and their is plenty of clean shoreline for dogs to jump in a cool off in the bay. A chill way to relax, stretch your legs, get your walk on in a beautiful beach area with your furry kids.

Mark is an amazing Captain. He took care of our group of 4, ensuring we got plenty of fish. Enough to feed us for 3 days! Mark took care of everything from setting up our rods to baiting our hooks and filleting our fish. There was never a dull conversation with him. It is clear this is his passion and he is the first Captain I’ve had that wants his clients to actually catch fish.

Awesome family boat charter for kelp forest scuba diving with Danny and Dillon. The guys took us out on the small boat Camarão for some San Diego diving. The guys were great and communication was smooth pre-booking. We were surprised with a sea lion at depth for an epic experience. I would highly recommend Waterhorse Charters and even better if you get to hang out with Dillon and Danny! PS forgive me if I misspelled any names :)

We had an amazing experience with Malarky charters! Our Captains were great! We had Trevor and Becca! Trevor was super welcoming! Becca was awesome, she really took the time to make sure we were having a good time! We loved them both, and had a really fun and relaxing day!

The sole reason for our trip was for my 10yr old to catch some fish. Researched charters across the nation for 2 months and landed on Coletta as the best option. Even then, I was skeptically, since this was the first time we chartered a fishing trip, but this was the best choice I think I’ve ever made. Chris and Trevor were on the boat and were absolutely outstanding, professional and my son felt like he had two new fishing buddies. Few businesses live up to reviews or what they say on their website, but Coletta does. We had a blast and caught lots of fish. I’ll book with Coletta again and only Coletta. They’ve earned my business for life.

We had Captain Jack and Conner. They were fun to be with and made our time amazing. We would totally do this again.

The boats have a bluetooth stereo that works better than I expected.

It was a great trip. We went out on the 8:30AM boat to see whales/dolphins in May. The weather was chilly but they warned us to bring/wear warm clothes. We definitely used our jackets and winter hats. We headed south and were lucky to see some blues and fin whales (no dolphins). The guide did a good job of educating us about the wildlife and getting us good views of the whales. Being on a small boat was nice, compared to one of the larger boats, and I felt like everyone on the boat could see everything at once. These types of whales do not breach so we mainly saw the spouts and their backs as they came up to breathe.

We had an excellent trip fishing with Capt Scottie. He put us on the fish with our first drop of the bate. He was very patient and kept us on the fish all day long. He is very knowledgeable about fishing the San Diego waters. I cannot believe my fiancée found him and we cannot wait to fish with him again.

Seventh annual trip out here. Really enjoy the diversity of the fishery. Micros to 10lbs macros to 700+. Pulling on all of them is amazing. Whales dolphins bait balls sea lions amazing views. The fishing always delivers but the fishery is so amazingly unique and enjoyable. Highway speeds with 20ft backflips are my favorite. Super jumbos 500+lbs a plus! First year fishing with Alex. The guides are always easy to get along with, which is important when you’re bobbing around for 8 hours or more on a chum. My favorite trip and the only trip I make a point every year to be on. Can’t wait for next year…or later again this year! Thanks Capns Dave and Alex!
