If you have a limited amount of time, have a car, and a sense of great navigation, then this is the best way to see as much as you can! Be prepared for traffic and spots with little to no parking.

I had funs and the staff was nice. I went on my Birthday week and they sung happy birthday. The ride was very interesting and I would do it again. I love San Diego and I would say that You should do this ride anytime you are in town.

The breakfast cruise on the California Princess was a hit. Just a beautiful day on the water. The bloody mary's were awesome and the scenery was amazing. We were out for a few hours and cruised passed the Midway before turning around. Pretty cool to cruise by the Navy shipyard to see the ships up close. Just a great day. Very nice staff!

I made two trips with Hornblower. I wanted to see whales. They promise if you do not see wildlife they will either take you out again or refund your money. I took the tour on a lovely afternoon. We were out almost 4 hours. The captains were very knowledgeable. We saw a pod of dolphins swimming right up against the boat. The sea lions were sunning themselves on the buoys in the bay, so saw them up close and personal. The captain found a group of three whales swimming together. It was probably a baby, mother and another adult. They never breached but we did see part of the tails. The captain followed the three whales for quite a long time. There were also naturalists from the museum on board to answer questions. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience.

The second trip was perfectly fine but I personally found it a disappointment. It was the North Bay tour. There was lots of talk about the ships we passed and all the military history. As the captain spoke, I thought this talk is lost on me. I was so sorry that my husband was not with me because he would have loved it. I wished the person that I'd spoken to make the reservations had explained what this tour was. The South tour was probably what I wanted but no one explained that. I'd give the North tour only three.

I uses an Explorer' pass for both admissions.

It is a beautifully majestic ship, the Indian star is an old ship that was built in 1863 which makes it one of the oldest still floating ships.
Note: the same ticket grants you access to multiple ships and submarines.

Why walk only a few miles when you can bike 10 and see more of the city?! This tour includes Little Italy, Balboa Park, the Gaslamp Quarter and the harbor. George is a great guide, knowledgeable about San Diego and sets a nice leisurely pace. There is one gradual climb on the tour but the well-maintained bikes have lots of gears to tackle the incline. A great tour, I highly recommend it.

My family had a great time on the rentals. Took a tour around the area with cousins, aunts and uncles. It is a fun afternoon activity for a family in San Diego.
